Everybody at Arsenal that continued to involve him should be sacked.

Coincidence that the charges come just after he’s been released? This has been fairly common knowledge for a long time, after all.

It doesn't give the date when he was charged but I doubt it was within the last couple of days. It seems to me it was earlier than that, especially given that his lawyer has been given opportunity to make a statement denying his guilt.

In fairness to him, innocent until proven guilty.

Just because they knew he had been arrested doesn’t mean they knew he was guilty.

In my experience it’s highly likely he would have been charged this week. It is generally common practice to give a month for a first appearance at a magistrates court if you’re not applying for a remand in custody.

Not sure if it worrks like this but maybe they knew he was leaving and going abroad so charging him gave them more power in terms of securing his return

3 year investigation?!?!? Jesus Christ , he’s been allowed to continue walking around for 3 years, playing football and earning ridiculous sums of money in the process. Him and Arsenal, absolute scummy cunts , the lot of them

Probably to prevent him from leaving the country as he very likely would've done.

Surely 3 years of investigation suggests it's not a clear cut "guilty" case or he'd of been charged earlier?

I don't know if he's done it or not, but you can't condemn someone until they've been found guilty. Multiple allegations isn't a good sign, but you can't rule out false accusations.
