BTA is league 1 standard at best.

His enthusiasm is commendable but pay me £10k a week and I’ll also run my bollocks off every week.

Doesn’t mean I’m any good.

As many have pointed out, BTA is less effective against teams that sit deep. Our current style relies heavily on crosses, which does not play to his strengths—he lacks the height, movement, and positional awareness needed to consistently get on the end of them.

BTA is far more suited to a counter-attacking side, where he can use his pace in transition. Ideally, the club will make every effort to move him on before the transfer window closes, allowing the funds to be reinvested in a player better suited to Lampard’s tactics.

EMC started to get the better of his man and then got subbed. Keith Lemon was then moved to the left and continued to be ineffective . Appeared to be preplanned substitution. Made no sense at all.

Reminds me of Colin from the Brittas Empire, he had a permanently septic hand and thus, was always sporting a bandage.

Are we just gonna think of tenuous links between unfunny tv characters & BTA now?

I watched a video on this yesterday, some players are putting these patches on them which increases performance and then bandage over them. Apparently Barca are doing this a bit and apparently it should be investigated.

BTA is just probably doing it to look cool.

What a load of shit this is,it helps with fuck all,to be fair it fucking embarrassing playing with a bandage on your hand when there is nothing wrong with you.But do agree with a post saying we play the wrong football for BTA to be affective.

Foden does.

I wonder if it’s genuinely a weakness from a fall or something. Otherwise why would they?

No one will ever adorn a bandage to the greatest dramatic effect than Terry Butcher.
Similarly no one to the greatest comedic effect of Thomas Brolin.

If they are performance enhancing, then BTA should consider wrapping a mile of bandage all over his body.

Even covering his eyes; his shooting may actually improve.

You'd be ahead of Simms then

What pisses me off is that Bassette is being frozen out, presumably because of his attitude in training, (so we are being told) but surely he can't be worse in training than Simms is during a game?

Im not saying Bassette is the answer, but I'd like to see him given a chance partnering Wright in a front two

Lampard has continually hinted that hes not happy with the way Bassette trains.
He's clearly not happy with him and if Bassette has ignored his comments and not knuckled down then I can't see a way back for him.

I agree that Bassette and FL dont appear to be on the same wavelength. And if hes being frozen out, then obviously he will want to move on.
That would be such a shame as he has all the raw materials do be a force at this level.

And I'd point out that MR didn't seam to have any issues with Bassette's application in training.
Is he lazy fuck. or is it a case of a personality clash?

I've thought for some time that Bassette and Wright playing together in a front two could be awesome, but im now thinking we may never see that.

Maybe he started to sulk when his game time was reduced?
But Lampard has been more candid in his criticism of him than anyone else I can think of.

I think he may of "burned his bridges" as far as Frank is concerned.
Maybe MR at Stoke will take a punt on him, or a club like Wycombe now they maybe looking for a striker.
