The scale's rather lower than it used to be(!) but I still love the rumours of random players to be signed, the frantic Googling to find out about them, the random clips that show a spectacular goal that means they'll be our missing link.
Of course being CCFC we never end up signing anyone and if we buck that trend and actually do, they end up being a pile of unbalanced wank, but at this stage iof the year... the hope's still there that we're about to pluck the next Ian Wright from obscurity, the next Stuart Pearce, or even the next Terry Gibson deemed not good enough for a club above us, but who'll be our superstar.
But in seas of mud and shite, it's the hope to cling to!
