over £6 Bn !! It's just another big tax fiddle isn't it ultimately. Basically most of it is write downs on the value of property....................more high level tax avoidance !

Oddly their share price has gone up after they announced this! Seems to be based on the idea that the worst is over and it will get better from here.

It's not that odd, it's what high level accountants can do for you. I'm sure this clever little ploy will wipe out the obligation to pay tax on about two years trading profits !!

Sounds like the Innocents IE staff will pay the price through reduced pension benefits

What a poorly run business In such dire times thinking they could maintain a premium of 10-20% over other outlets for what In reality was standard economy goods
