This needs a bit of investigation (2 Viewers)

Just spoken to a copper who told me they (the police) are on stand by for the weekend, he believes football related but not been told that yet. Now if true it I suppose it could be helping Northamptonshire plod out or could it be policing the Ricoh and I don't mean that charity game. So anyone out there with coppers in the family or friends do a bit of digging.

Well tickets are being sold right now for "that charity game" (our 130 year celebration!). So if a deal was struck they'd have a problem.

More likely he's on about the FPA game.

If a deal was struck with the Ricoh we could always still play on the Saturday as originally planned. In theory of course, at this late stage I imagine it'd be a nightmare to organise.

Billy Bell did say on CWR after the game on Saturday they'd be OK with moving the time if a deal was struck, so wouldn't see it as a problem.

What's more of a problem is everybody seems to have given up on trying to get a deal sorted!

I didn't realise that.

I don't think either side has been looking for a deal since admin and Sisu not since "negotiations" started.

I think maybe a very low crowd might help, but maybe well have to wait for the JR. When is that BTW?

Would it not be messing the Bristol team and fans about as well as our players / fans if they say "Oh it is Saturday now"?

Could stay with playing Sunday as a one off if it was at the Ricoh. Still think the silence is deafening and the lack of concrete ticketing plans for Sixfields strange and if it is true Bristol fans who have been allocated 971 apparently can't get tickets stranger still.

If there was a change of plan could the game be called off, certainly exceptional circumstances no-one can deny that and there must be a cut-off time, lets be honest Bristol have their share of numpties too

would there even need to be policing for the charity game? be minimal at most I would have thought.

I think it's any organised public gathering with a certain amount of numbers requires it. They won't be needed to do anything beyond standing round though I'd have thought.

Who would be in the driving seat re a deal to play at the Ricoh SISU or ACL ? Financially sisu stand to be paying out shed loads of cash at Northampton with little return yet back at the Ricoh I think for the Bristol match there would be a decent gate 15k+and they get those revenues over £250000 Yet what a psychological blow for them and especially Tim Fisher maybe even a mortal blow. In a way ACL can sit back and wait. It seems obvious now the attendance at Sixfields will be pathetic, possibly less than a 1000

there was going to be a press conference for charity match, but that press conference has now been cancelled

tbf could just be as mundane as the chap taking it couldn't get there after all!
