TBF on tomatoes, the supermarkets sell British grown ones at this time of year. Lidl sells a variety called emperor which are good, flavourful and not watery. I've been having pan con tomate for breakfast or lunch a lot with them.

Wasn't sure whether to put this here or annoys you as it made me utterly depressed but...

Did an Amazon route this morning in the New Forest and saw some incredible properties and as it was around 8am, lot's of people out and about walking their dogs etc.

Just nice people, enjoying their lovely lives and saying hello to each other and making the most of where they live.

No scumbags and crackheads in sight, was a nice change.

Also, the Pony that stuck his head in the car window for a nice head scratch.

Moving from West London to Warwickshire did absolute wonders for my mental health and wellbeing. Every time I go out, I bump into someone I've gotten to know just from living day-to-day life and even the people I haven't met say hello.

The thought of buggering off to Ireland soon for six weeks touring in my van makes me quite happy.
Always wanted to explore more. It's about 35 years since our only visit (to Crookhaven, County Cork), so we're ready for it.

We're starting from Dublin and will spend some time in Ulster early on, before doing the Wild Atlantic Way (with diversions inland). Hope to hook up with an old mate who lives in Cobh (Cork port) but sod's law dictates that he's away in Brittany about the time we hit that area, so who knows?
We finish back in Dublin early October - probably soaking wet by then

At least you get it! I had a flight back from Denmark cancelled by BA. There advice was to sort my own hotel and if I could find a more suitable non-BA flight to book that and claim compensation.

So I did exactly that and BA would only pay the £220 delayed / cancelled flight compensation. Despite being legally entitled to repayment of costs for hotels and replacement flights they simply didn't pay it. Turns out this is their standard tactic, they don't pay based on the fact very few people will actually proceed with legal action to recover what they are entitled to due to the cost of taking the action.

My next BA flight, booked before the Denmark trip, was also cancelled. Same story.

I had a missed connection incident with KLM 3 years ago, I had to book the hotel myself but I filled in the forms and got full compensation eventually. There are regulators different one for UK to EU I think but in the first instance if they prevaricate keep sending them reminders headed complaint pointing out the regulations and after a suitable time raise the spectre of a formal complaint to the regulator then if that doesn't work make a formal complaint to the regulator. I don't think you need to go as far as legal action.

Happened to me with Qantas, took months to decide I was due compensation, gave them all the details and said it would take another 6 weeks to process everything but I received the payment about half an hour later.

Been exercising like a mad man the last few months and feel so much better for it.

Theres truth in the saying that depression hates a moving target.

Started playing in darts league in the Summer and we won the league. Opened the Winter league tonight as a loss but I won my singles.

Did bottle a 180 with a 120 but felt like the bollocks winning 2-0.

Yeah it really does help. I notice a massive difference. Sometimes I get an hour in before work and notice a difference during the day.

I've made a habit of going for a 20-30 minute walk round the park before I do anything else in the morning and it's made a real difference. No phone, no music, just have a wander and let my thoughts run. 2,500+ steps before breakfast and feel way more awake when I sit at my desk, have even forgotten to have a coffee a few times.

Hmm. I wonder? Does Trump bleed?

Should Hitler's DNA have been studied?

Ground-breaking research has made some fascinating discoveries on the dictator, from his ancestry to possible neurological disorders.

Just revisited this. You're absolutely right. We had an alternator failure in Enniskillen which disrupted our (loose) planning (shout out to the Toyota dealer there who were absolutely fantastic and got us underway in an afternoon). After that we changed our minds about heading straight up to the causeway, had a night by the big Lough there, and the next morning drove over to Glenarm, Co. Antrim.
What a beautiful part of the country it really is, and we took our time to soak it all in before heading for Malin Head. I'd certainly go back.

Getting back to playing 7 a side with my mates. Stopped playing last year to focus on marathon training, then got injured doing that so couldn't start again. Went back last week for the first time and realised just how much I'd missed it. Mood hasn't been great recently so it felt really good to have a laugh and feel like I can trust my body again (scoring 4 goals didn't hurt either)
