Being in Spain where everything is half the price and the Spanish are very much still in control of their own country!

I think they have access to north African gas which in itself is inflationary, but they wouldn't have as much of that really, they had civil war,and have separatist problems, whether any of that makes a difference IDK.

Just on the subject of energy, Spain now can provide all of its energy needs on a regular basis from renewables.
The only gas we use is in a bottle and we buy about two per annum at 2 x £20. That is all our heating requirements and gas hob for cooking. Our typical energy bill is around €70 per month.

Watching videos of my little dog's life. After losing him the other day, this has been a great comfort. Upsetting at times, but to see him playing with his toys etc, and being such a happy little boy, it makes me smile again.
Slowly getting over losing my best mate. I bought a new Chihuahua puppy a few weeks after losing him. I didn't want to at first, not wishing to replace my little buddy, but the wife knew it would cheer me up. He's now 9 months old, and chocolate coloured. Keeps me active and has helped tremendously with my mental state. Named him Chico.

It should never be underestimated the positive effect a dog can have on our physical & mental wellbeing. Here's Max, we rescued him 4 years ago and he makes us smile every day & keeps us active.

Yeah, but Britain can't go too quickly on renewables because there'll be too much of a shortfall to make up...

Even though we're a small island with huge amounts of coastline and battered by winds a lot of the year. Pretty sure we could do something with the huge amount of rainfall we get to generate electricity as well. It's even sunny sometimes too!

Cancelling so much of the renewables infrastructure because "we don't have the money" (really wanting to kiss the ass of the Saudi's and the powerful fossil fuel lobby) is up there with some of the most stupid decisions ever made.

The sooner we invest in this sort of stuff the sooner we don't have a shortfall needed to be made up importing energy from other countries.

Sadly, got to have him castrated tomorrow (Thursday), because one of his little testicles hasn't dropped, and the one that hasn't dropped could be stuck in his groin which could cause a cancer later, so it's gotta be done. Thankfully, he's insured because the cost will be around £600. But he's worth it!

His "missing" testicle was stuck in his abdomen! So it really needed to be removed. He had three incisions to find it, but thankfully they removed it successfully. He's just really looking sorry for himself at the moment. He hasn't budged an inch in 6 hours since we brought him home! Hopefully, he'll be back to his happy self tomorrow! He has to wear an anti scratch coat for a few days.

That doesn't surprise me about all breeds have a bit of Chihuahua in them! They can be randy little buggers! Our last one (Harvey) used to hump his toys all the time, but not so with Chico (yet!). Maybe his misplaced knacker slowed him down! 😅
He's still very sleepy and feeling sorry for himself, but it was only yesterday he had the snip. Hopefully he'll be back to his mad self in a few days! 😉

Rewatching Clarksons Farm and Lisa is brilliant, a proper Irish blagger.

"Avacados, came from one of the Shires"

"South America"...

"Shire".
