Happened to me, I had to bully this oik to leave my reserved seat. He did eventually leave, mumbling and grumbling. thankfully neither he or I had heard the announcement saying reserved seats had been cancelled, until about 10 mins later. The one that gets me with trains recently is when they basically decommission all reserved seats as it is too busy, a train has been missed etc but people still fight their way to their previously reserved seats as if it doesn’t count for them!
Had it coming out of Euston last week and this couple in their 50’s essentially tried to bully this girl but fair play to her she clearly explained what was going on, that her seat had been taken as well and basically tough fucking shit!
Hate to break it to you mate but sleep regression is common at 18 months. Buckle up cos you could be in for a rough 3 months......18 month old’s sleeping pattern/habits have gone out the window this week. Was up with him from 2-5am then slept on his floor for a couple of hours.
I thought you were talking about people at first!🫣I wasn’t sure if this should go in this thread or not…it didn’t actually annoy me but I imagine it would others. It rates as a 7 or 8 out of 10 on the weirdometer…
We stayed in the Novotel near the M6 last night. We had an adjoining room, so there was a locked door to the room next door, which appeared to be made of paper. This meant you could hear EVERYTHING.
Bad enough you might think. This became increasingly ‘interesting’ at 11pm when the guests parrot in the room next door started squawking incessantly.
When I knocked the door…“It’s alright it’ll be asleep soon. I’ll put the sheet over its cage”.
A fucking parrot!!!!
Oh we heard the person in there too. Her phone conversations to reception about the lack of electricity, her conversation with reception when they came and put the keycard in the slot correctly, her weird keyboard playing, the strange circus/keyboard type music she listened to, her retelling the events this morning of the previous night to someone on the phone…I thought you were talking about people at first!🫣
Crikey, CV1 has really pushed the boat out for this NYE's entertainment in Broadgate it would appear.Oh we heard the person in there too. It was the Parrots room?Maybe the parrot plays the keyboard while wearing a little top hat at the circus and she’s just the trainer?
It was the Parrots room?
More coherent than the woman I spoke with tbf…A parrot coherent enough to reserve a room. Wow.
Must’ve booked it through Lunn Polly!
You mean they weren't sharing? It was the Parrots room?
I posted the same thing at the start of Christmas week then guess how I spent the only couple of days I got off over the holiday period. That's right, lying on the sofa feeling like shit.I'm sure its been posted before but colleagues who come in to work when their unwell, 2 have come in choking with the cold and its only a matter of time till some one else gets it. No need especially when they can work from home
and yet they will be praised for being the most work committed.I'm sure its been posted before but colleagues who come in to work when their unwell, 2 have come in choking with the cold and its only a matter of time till some one else gets it. No need especially when they can work from home
Ill tell you what annoys me lately, watching wildlife programmes. I love them, dont get me wrong. But now, you just feel like its a lecture on how I'M killing the polar bears rather than an educational film.
Then, after lecturing you for an hour about how its all YOUR FAULT the ice caps are melting they give you a 15 min, behind the scenes look in to how they made the film. Including logistics and the dozen or so 2 stroke engine snowmobiles they used, and the 6 3litre Toyota Hilux, or the 3 choppers they moved around in daily, or the 2 sea planes they privately hired for 6 months, or the huge, diesel chugging ship they rented. Im sorry, but ive not had the private use of 3 choppers for 6 months. Yet I'M the one to blame for global warming? Fuck you Attenborough!

I reckon it's that bloody growth thing again? This is what Khan is trying to stop.
Not sure it's anything to do with Starmer or Khan.Wtf are Police doing, enforcing the Starmer, Khan joyless London where is nothing is free.
Got to be an 8 mate…. Many piecesI wasn’t sure if this should go in this thread or not…it didn’t actually annoy me but I imagine it would others. It rates as a 7 or 8 out of 10 on the weirdometer…

Sure putting up and removing all the perimeter barriers has saved a great deal of money. Not sure it's anything to do with Starmer or Khan.
It's a Royal Park and they have taken the decision to close it stating that following the disbanding of The Royal Parks Police due to funding cuts the cost of the policing operation required is too great.
The cost no doubt increased by the fact that a couple of years ago someone was murdered in that park during the NYE fireworks.
Maybe while they shield/protect everything.Sure putting up and removing all the perimeter barriers has saved a great deal of money.

When you've been ordered back into the office but nobody in charge can be arsed to come in.When your whole company is effectively off
Why do you give a fuck about what one park in London does for NYE? Do you live nearby? This is what Khan is trying to stop.
My issue is nothing to do with proximity it is about the direction of society. Imposing restrictions. Why do you give a fuck about what one park in London does for NYE? Do you live nearby?
If you get sick pay I’d hit them with a few days off later in the year when the weather is nice. That’s what I’d do.We were forced to take today off as not a lot of our customers would be in for our waste collections. It come out of our annual leave, so now down to 22 days. The same happened last year (can’t remember what date for, but this time of year) and management said results from a staff survey said staff were happy for it to happen again. Yeah, the office staff who get 5 more days to use than us said they were happy with it.
