But if they did that they'd have to pay every person in that role the same rate rather than hope they can get someone to accept the job for a few grand less. When you have a look through jobs and they don't put a salary.
A few years ago I jointly running a department and they decided that they wanted me to run it, at pay review time my bosses said we will do the rises, I refused and said I wanted to do them and surprise surprise the person who was now reporting to me was earning considerably more than me.But if they did that they'd have to pay every person in that role the same rate rather than hope they can get someone to accept the job for a few grand less.
Same reason so many companies make a big deal of 'you must not discuss salary', never used to be an issue when everyone knew they were on the same pay scale.
What's he been up to now?Brewdog - Particularly that knob in charge of them

Good luck ! Definitely getting one plumber and then the general builder to do the lot worked for us ( excepting electrics and Plastering ) it’s a nightmare juggling the priorities and it sounds like you have had a lot on your handsThe house renovation is getting on me nerves, plumber done his first fix , we told him we wanted our main bathroom to be a wetroom but hadnt decided on what type of shower and units we wanted as we were dealing two bereavements and a break in and further building work and plasterers etc. We told him that we were ready for the bathroom to be fitted and explained that we wanted a concealed shower and but hes told us we have to have an exposed shower as he's already but the pipes in the bathroom. He then told us he wont fit a gully for the wetroom and the tiler needs to do it as the tiler can then fit the gully and concrete the floor before he tiles So if we want a concealed shower he has to come back chop the pipe work in and put elbows on the pipes then we will have to rebaord and plaster the back wall where the pipes are . I have no clue but feel hes done the pipes to make things easier for himself. I wanted to be for July
In the cold light of day i should of got one company in to do the whole bathroom refit rather then get different people in to do jobs
Was looking forward to this part of the renovation as its just that and the kitchen to fit and we are all done,
Will probably change the day I hit retirementThe Triple Lock - As someone who is rapidly approaching pension age, this is the most crazy policy out there
Year 1 inflation at 10% pay rises 2% Pensions go up 10%
Year 2 inflation at 2% pay rises 10% Pensions go up 10%
Year 3 inflation at 1% pay rises 1% Pensions go up 2.5%
so over 3 years cost of living and pay rises go up by 13% Whereas pensions go up 24%
Just stupid, and apart from legacy Public sector pensions is the one thing bankrupting the country, which the young will continue to pay for
Just need one party to make a stand on this, but they are too scared to lose the votes,
Didn’t they give you some relaxing music like MetallicaAnnoy is probably the wrong word but had an MRI this morning, fucking horrible.
Didn't think I was claustrophobic in the slightest until I was trapped in that thing and on the verge of a panic attack.
I didn't get claustrophobic because I was face down but had to have my arm outstretched so the pain in my shoulder was unbearable by the end. Even worse, I asked for XS Manchester (general indie and Manc bands) as my radio request which they mistook for Radio X so I had Chris Moyles the entire timeAnnoy is probably the wrong word but had an MRI this morning, fucking horrible.

haha, i wish. I got some shitty hold style music.Didn’t they give you some relaxing music like Metallica
This would be a suitable soundtrack for the prelude to the Luton game, hits the spot.
The Welsh and the Scottish for not using our national anthem and instead singing about leeks and thistles instead.English people who slag off our national anthem, but there's tons of countries with more mundane anthems...

It's to compensate for the years when pensions failed to keep pace with the rise in earnings. It would have cost too much to do it in one go so the formula was devised to close the gap gradually over a number of years. The Triple Lock - As someone who is rapidly approaching pension age, this is the most crazy policy out there

In spite of that a million and half pensioners are forced to claim means-tested benefits as their pension is still not enough to live on. Two thirds of those are women.
Well at my last job before I retired the lower paid staff wouldn't take advantage of the employers pension contribution because they decided they needed the money now and didn't want to put any of their salary into pension.

The fact private pension contributions are optional I think is storing up trouble for the future, there used to be a second state pension ( something Barbera Castle brought in during the 1970s) but that was eroded and eventually abolished in changes during the Lib-Con coalition government, the headline story was that the basic pension was increased but what they didn't say was it was a cut in government pension expenditure that would go through in 20 or so years and place the burden on the private sector.
If cuts are to be made they should be in the relatively gold plated pensions of public sector employees, but chance would be a fine thing.
There are far too many public sector employees many of them doing non productive jobs.As someone with a public sector pension trust me they’ve been cut.

Likewise - it is no longer the "gold-plated" payout it used to be. The university sector scheme is now self-sustaining (as all schemes have to be these days). The big advantage it has over most private company schemes is percentage of the employer contribution. As someone with a public sector pension trust me they’ve been cut.
Who do you want sacked Dartman? There are far too many public sector employees many of them doing non productive jobs.
What do you do.Who do you want sacked Dartman?
Physical scienceWhat do you do.
