Chemistry. The type of compounds they put in the vaping liquid decompose when subjected to the heating element in them and turn into things like formaldehyde as one example.

That's not a source.
What chemistry?
What compounds?
At what level is formaldehyde bad for a person?

This reads like a piss poor rehash of something someone has posted on social media.
Your post said "you might as well smoke".
I disagree, as does the NHS.
Convince me please.

Hmm. I was looking for something that backed up your assertion that

"The shit that those things put into your lungs is so bad you may as well just smoke."

I think it's accepted that not vaping is healthier than vaping.

What I'm looking for is evidence that "you may as well just smoke". (Your words, not mine).

OK here's another one that compares DNA damage in vapers and smokers finding there to be no statistically significant difference. You'll need an academic log-in to see the full article but the summary is open access.

Vaping Dose, Device Type, and E-Liquid Flavor are Determinants of DNA Damage in Electronic Cigarette Users

AbstractIntroduction. Despite the widespread use of electronic cigarettes, the long-term health consequences of vaping are largely unknown.Aims and Methods

Anything on cancer risk, COPD, stroke, lung disease etc. that shows vapers "may as well just smoke"?

Any health professionals saying that non smokers who use e-cigarettes "may as well just smoke"?

I'm currently sticking to the advice from NHS England.

However if you have compelling evidence that people who use e-cigarettes "may as well just smoke", I will reconsider my position.

Please provide evidence that vapers "may as well just smoke".

Soundbiites and anecdotes are all very Tory (have you had enough of experts?)

Evidence please that people who vape "may as well just smoke".

This is descending into debate by opinion.

As for formaldehyde.

Formaldehyde: general information

www.gov.uk

Uh! Formaldehyde! isn't a reasoned argument against vaping.

Facts please.

Well it is descending into some kind of cartoonish farce where you ignore peer reviewed literature and subject expertise. I seem to remember you going off on a weird bender about me making an innocent mistake on Australian tobacco laws.

Is there more to your posts than the usual SBT obsessiveness? Do you own a vape shop or something?

I smoked 20 + a day for many years ,going back 10 years I had a chest infection and my GP sent me for a chest x-ray ... results came back and I was told I had "high volume lungs",sounds good I thought must be all the boxing I did as a young man only to be told it means my lungs have lost elasticity and I'm at risk of COPD (GP explained millions of people in the UK had more lung damage than me but we're unaware ).
Never smoked a cigarette since but I do vape ...I don't think it's good for me but I can say my very low level COPD hasn't got any worse in 10 years.Last lung function test gave me a result of a 50 year old...(I'm 69 ).
Just checked and if I did still smoke Cigarettes it would cost me approx £90 a week ...vaping cost me around £8 a week.
So I'm sure your right Vaping is not good for us but I can't buy into "you might as well smoke cigarettes " because I can tell you 100% my lung function is much improved since quitting cigarettes even though I vape.

Edit.I have also weaned myself off nicotine and use zero nicotine eliquid.

Read the papers and come to your own conclusion. My old man has smoked more than that for about 40 years, so I had the passive ‘benefits’ for about 20.

For someone like me who’s never smoked however, the crap that’s in either of them may as well be the same.

The shops that still have the big plastic screens, then people scan stuff and leave it miles inside the screen area for you. Do they want people to climb through and get their stuff?
