Manager of a Travis Perkins felt the need to post a pic of their staffroom cupboard full of tinned soup, super noodles and instant pasta. Just so they won’t go hungry during these challenging times. I mean fair play he’s spent £20 on staff food but it’s literally up for likes and back patting.

How I run a successful startup!

  • Wake at 4am for a coco pop enema
  • Attack the day, each day you are blessed to wake up is an opportunity
  • Put the work in! Be the first to arrive and the last to leave
  • My dad is rich and paid for all of it

It's why I struggle with social media more and more, it all feels a bit artificial. It's got it's uses don't get me wrong, but so many cases where people can't go and help someone / people without telling the world or there being an incentive such as like you say getting, "likes" or whatever. It's double edged, people get help as a result which is brilliant but theres also sometimes someone there in the background feeding their insecurities / ego.

Why doesn’t he just pay his staff enough to eat?

I coach for my local kids team, we have about 20+ teams in all age groups, both boys and girls , all our winter training locations have been finalised and the majority of us have to travel 16 miles round trip now for an hours coaching with our team, as none of us are allowed to train on the adults pitch in the town itself as to save the pitch.

Oh except for the anonymous coach who has offered to pay for the flooring in the new club house, his team is allowed to train down the club on the pitch. Appears they aren’t as bothered about the pitch itself when there is money involved.

I know it’s all political bollocks that I frankly can’t be arsed to get involved with, but still rubs me up the wrong way.

The prevalence of digital fraud is annoying. (Insert other description here here)
Being a victim of it is…enlightening, as it highlights that certain sites online that are not secure enough to withstand the hacking ability of a sweaty palmed teen with a penchant for massive Asda spending.

Thing is, someone with a little less savvy and innocence would easily have been taken in by the fraudster I spoke to directly (claiming he was from my bank).

To me, this kind of predatory fraud is not acceptable, and there simply is not enough being done to prevent it, combat it and adequately locate those who do it.

The fact that the term "athlete", formerly defined as " a person who takes part in competitive track and field events (athletics)", has been hijacked to refer to any sportsperson. Rugby players, skiers, swimmers, et al are NOT fucking athletes - they are rugby players, skiers and swimmers.
Another step to undermine British English!

Not much you can do. It’s the safest form of crime and if you’re outside the country then virtually untouchable.

My Nan got taken for £2,500 a couple of months ago on that text message scam where they pretend to be a family member in need. She feels very silly now bless her. All the old bill could say was “they’re in Africa, nothing we can do”.

Sure there's more the phone companies can do. Same with everything sadly, unless there's money in it they aren't interested. Try putting a copywritten song on social media, it will be gone in seconds, why can they detect that so quickly but can't detect all manner of other dodgy content?

How they must say "how slow are you" to get you working in shops customer facing now.

Have Aldi taken all the quick people?

Something that does need sorting is the spoofing and mimicking of numbers. Heard stories of people being called by their own number and it was a scammer. Surely that’s fairly easy to spot in the system?

Good ol’ modern policing, ‘sorry, nothing we can do’, yet if someone so much as hurts someone’s feelings on social media, they’re on it like a bad suit.

In an equitable world, there would be an international legislative body with connections to Interpol that could establish a network of anti-fraud task forces.

But nope, “sorry, nothing we can do”. The law is indeed an ass.

Yep, had this done to me too.

To be quite honest, I don’t think the authorities and companies in question actually care enough to combat it. On that note, funnily enough, when I had my landline installed 3 years ago, fresh number and everything, within 20 minutes I had a scammer on the phone trying to get remote access to my laptop.

My tin hat is big enough for all of us, come on under.

Actually, the WEF would veto any attempt to establish an equitable, international anti-fraud network. Claus Schwab wants a big ol’ Reset, and my tin hat can’t take it.
