That'll be white van man, beamer and Audi drivers then
Being a Saab and Volvo owner I find generally owners of Swedish cars to be the most courteous, sensible drivers on the road.

Iv'e always had a soft spot for Saab and Volvo but never owned one, iv'e been stalking a few 2012 9-3's on Ebay and it's a lot of a car for the money. A friend of mine's Dad had a TWR Racing Volvo T5 in 1996 and it was a hell of a car, stupid fast.

I'm doing similar with 95 hot aero estates at the minute, currently have a C70 coupe.
May just hold on till nearer Christmas, make sure the work holds out and people are generally more amenable to a lower cash offer at this time of year or in January.

Theres a girl on ebay trading as honeyblond with a last model 95 sedan, twin turbo AWD.
If she could just knock 5k off its a goer.
I'm not sure mistletoe would do the trick, but if I offered her a Toblerone who knows.

Same as the scum at our local Costcutter.

Someone keeps going in and nicking all the Always Ultra pads.

They should just put a stop to it, period!

One thing that gets me is when you buy something new and you show/tell someone about it.

The first thing people say is "How much was that"

or people who try and better everything you do. You buy a new car and get the response of 'yeah I was looking at that one but brought a better one' or you got for a shit and they have done two.

And people who are obsessed with money and are mean.

My daughter and her friend (who is always wanting to know how much things cost) wanted to buy some beauty products from eBay. They wanted two off the same item, one each.

Anyway, the payment came to £9.55 (£4.50 for the two products and £5.05 for the p&p).

The products came a week later and my daughter then asked her friend for half of the money and her friend said 'I am not paying for the postage and packaging. The parcel came to your house so you have to pay for that.' She then only offered half of the cost of the two products.

This is a 12 year old girl. Unbelievable. Never heard of anyone so young talk in such a way.

I recall my then best friend, John, developing a mean streak as he got older and into his teen years.

He had another really great relationship with this other guy and they became almost inseparable.

Then one year they decided to go on holiday together and split the cost 50/50.

Anyway, driving back from the coast, they got home and tried to divvy up.

The one guy said that the petrol was £100 altogether, so £50 each. This John though then astonishingly came out with 'But you bought more stuff while we were on holiday, so your suitcase is heavier than mine. You've therefore got to pay more than me.'

They fell out there and then and never, ever spoke to each other ever again.

Yep. The product came, she said she wasn't going to pay the postage, so we said 'okay, then you don't get the product.'

Never understood people like that who are really picky about it.

It's like in a restaurant where people are really fussy, they are usually the ones who have had the most expensive food and the most drinks. Have seen full on arguments because people want to just split it x amount of ways, when one person has had about 8 pints and a steak and another has had a coke and a burger.

Yeah, different scenario entirely. Prices of dishes in restaurants can vary greatly and then someone might have had a starter and a dessert, while someone else only had a main, so that's different.

When we go out in a group we pass the bill around and just ask everyone to identify what they had on the bill and pay for their own.

Pleased to report that every time we have done that we have been way over. Everyone has chucked in an extra 2 or 3 quid, or rounded things up.

I try to distance from people like that, they are usually greedy in other ways.

I am always too kind with that, probably be the same chucking in some extra as I can't be bothered with the hassle and stress and usually want to just go home by then!

No, I'm married.

The unwritten law in a marriage is that everything somehow ends up with the wife.

I feel that is a much better answer than that of the reality of our waiters always ending up with ridiculously high tips.

There's one lad at Bella Italia who fights his way through the staff there in order to serve us.

He's only served us three times in total, yet has already bought himself a yacht and a powerboat and has been to Hawaii twice and has a cruise of the Caribbean coming up around Christmas time.

He even writes everything down with a Parker pen on a Paper chase notepad.

I think 37 and half percent is just about right.

Appropriate amount for the tricky job of bringing plates to and from your table.

Works the other way, mind. A friend of mine always wants to divide things to the exact penny. Frankly, if he's worried about paying 47p more I'd rather put in an extra quid and pay 53p more!

Funnily nough the tip is always out the calculation, too...

On the subject of tight people,
I took my elderly parents and my 2 kids to the Tollgate many moons ago during half term and my older brother tagged along. I bought the first round of drinks before the meal. As the meal progressed I enquired if anyone wanted another drink. He declined so I bought everyone another drink. He stumped up his £2.99 to the penny for his meal when the bill arrived. I don't recall him ever buying a drink for anyone and he is in his 70s now but he has been tight as a duck's arse all his life.
