Doesn't make happy reading but I struggle to disagree. Not even a worthy price for a 'soften the blow' bet. Lol

There's been a few threads on this. I tend to agree with the general response-it's understandable given AT's not a proven manager and probably not rated outside the club (we know different-he's our greatest asset). It's also based on us struggling last season, losing possibly our 2 best players and another relatively high-profile one (who generally underperformed last 2 years)-not to mention other players like Carsley- and only signing 'keeper replacements. Whilst we don't look like signing anyone under SISU, selling the likes of Sammy, Lukas and Turner does seem possible in the media and the bookies eyes.
We have a very small squad, and could really be in trouble with a few injuries.

However..the takeover could happen, in which case we won't sell anyone and could strengthen-at least in the loan window. Even if it doesn't, we could stay up as long as SISU don't sell people.

The players under AT deliver a completely different proposition to under Boothroyd, and I'd say a full term under him last season would have seen us comfortably top-half. We also have unknown players in Thomas, Bigirimana and-based on what I've seen-The Rampaging Beast that is Cyrus Christie, who would be completely off the bookies radar; we at last have a youth side offering us what Watford and Palace have had in recent seasons in a steady stream of players for the first team.

Oh yeah and our secret weapon-Roy O'Donovan to replace Kings goals, without taking away anything from the dressing room spirit (I have on authority from my mole that he is a "lovely, softly spoken lad", and the way he celebrated at Nuneaton showed what it means to him). He brings pace, graft, predatory goalscoring instincts, and a passion to do well at a club he loves and prove plenty of people wrong. There's nothing to stop him from proving that Roy Keane was right to call him the next Kevin Doyle, and he is still only 25.Watch this space ;)

We are in trouble this year, we will be struggling unless we start bringing in some quality. If Sammy leaves, we are screwed!

A nice optimistic view Nonleague and I would agree with most of it. We'll do better than people think this season - assuming the youth keep displaying the promise they've shown and we keep Sammy.
