Nothing to do with envy. I would be interested to know why certain people are "untouchable". Elliott: heavily involved with Richardson and shouting from the rooftops about how great SISU were. Hoffman: I'm struggling to either praise or have a go at him as he hasn't done anything. Ainsworth: hides behind parliamentary privelege and while I'm all for picking at the SISU scab, it isn't achieving anything and just causes more antagonism. He should be trying to talk to the warring factions, which at least the MEP did, which was why I was "pretty upbeat" as I thought that Joy may be coming out of hiding.

EDIT: Forgot Keyes. I've lost count of the times he's been on Twitter to tell us "the time is here". I remember the infamous tweet from December 2011 when a takeover was imminent. If you can't speak the truth, don't speak at all.

The basic problem with Gendel and torchy is envy. Envious of a local boy made good. in the past they have knocked Richard Keys, Joe Elliott, Gary Hoffman, Ainsworth, perhaps they don't realise Jim Cunningham MP is just as involved too, have they checked his expenses aswell so they can have a pop at him. Mind you he's Scottish so not local as such. Yet as pointed out were pretty upbeat about the involvement from local MEP Nikki Sinclair....strange.

As for Ainsworth. No I'm not happy for him to get £104000 and at the same time charge the taxpayer for unnecessary oak beams to be put on his ceiling. Or trying to get a £1000 tele on expenses. Or a sofa for £2500. That goes for all MPs, not just the him. You're obviously happy with that, good for you.

The premise is wrong. He is raising visibility on this forum about him and no one else.

Funny thing is he'd be pilloried if he started questioning ACL and their role.

It's grandstanding hiding behind the veil of parliamentary privelege. Say it in public or butt out is my view.

It's all very well "highlighting" the problems but the FL and FA have turned a blind eye, CCC seem happy to make the situation worse and SISU don't seem to give a flying F how they come across. His motions will never get acted on or even debated. Only those who know what's going on will take any notice. The people that actually matter: SISU, ACL, CCC, FA, FL won't and don't care. Power on him for doing it but it's no more than a vanity "good ole Bob" back-slapping exercise.

If he wants to do something then go and talk to ACL, to CCC, to SISU.

As I recall Ainsworth tried that when this all started, but didn't get anywhere with SISU.

Doesn't look like the MEP has made much progress either. I think her politics have rather got in the way here.

As far as I'm concerned this at least keeps a bit of pressure on the FL, even if everyone else disregards it. (Though I doubt someone as seemingly private as JS cares for it much either, imho).

The FL are already at risk of government intervention, it can't hurt to keep it at the front of their minds.

I admire your faith in the government but I think we all know that there will be no intervention. The FL have washed their hands of us. Ainsworth can raise as many EDM as he wishes but it won't get us any further than we are now.
