Throughout my football supporting life I have always looked out for Cov's results, mainly to rib my schoolmates and later, work colleagues. I have no idea why I have decided to post this today but I think because I understand where you are at. My family moved to warwickshire for work in the 1960's from Manchester. I was then weekly taken up and down the M6 to Maine Road unfortunately I was too young to appreciate the 70's period where City hardly lost to United and the great Colin Bell reigned. I do however remember when we hardly beat them and anyone else for that matter and I still make that journey today with my dad (but it is now me doing the driving). I will travel to Stoke on Saturday, then Real Madrid on Tuesday, just as I traveled to Lincoln and Mansfield in the very same division as yours. I will not linger on the most incredible moment in my football supporting life in May but yes we did 'drink it in' and will for a very long time. I can honestly say I would die happy if that moment was never repeated. I am now getting to the crux of the matter and that is that being a supporter isn't a choice it is hereditary and is culturally embedded. It is about spending time with your family and mates and other people you may only ever see at the match but shake their hand as if they are your brother. Enjoy the new grounds and the day out and as I experienced for season on season enjoying a drink, some food and sharing a laugh with the lads is often the highlight of the day! Be realistic- only one team can win the league and for the record I don't think it will be mine again this season - and look at what we've spent! Keep moaning, keep discussing, keep cheering even keep booing (I have done plenty of that) but most important of all - KEEP GOING. Good luck for the rest of the season PUSB

Mate, whoever you are, the sentiment is sincere and touching. However, what we are experiencing from our current 'owners' is beyond comprehension, leaving us staring at a gaping chasm. Even the 'die-hard' fans are losing faith. We are where we are because we are shit, and there is no light at the end of the Sky Blue tunnel. Match day experience is no longer enjoyable. In return for your kind words, I truly hope you do win the title again because I hate MUFC and you play some nice football under a quality manager. In the meantime, could you ask your owners if their rich relatives are willing to become our saviours and return our club to the heady heights of the Premiership.
