Sunderland will not be happy.

They will stop eating burritos and boycott Ikea.

That's right, but Mexico should destroy Sweden. They are terrible.

Bet it will be a 0-0 though.

Mexico have said they will rest players though.

Germany saved. Shouldn't have given a free kick away there.

Sweden now almost certainly out.

What a turnaround.

I like the German people but what the fuck was that? Last minute goal to keep you in the world cup and the celebrations look shite.
There should have been absolute carnage but no sign of it at all.
they need to send a fact finding envoy to a City away game to show them how it's done.

Germany going from probably out to highly likely through. Can Sweden beat Mexico? I don't think so.

Doesn't matter now. If Germany win they will be through surely.

Isn't it head to head first? Or is it GD?

Superb strike

Goal difference I thought. Either way, that goal changed the whole complexion of that group.

I think Son running the channels will trouble that defence. Boateng getting sent off probably done Germany a favour, he's fucking gash.

Probably spend the time he's out buying shoes. Sounds like he needs some. Only 600 pairs...

Ridiculous foul to give away the player was going nowhere!

I would say Sweden are almost certainly out.

Germany will surely now beat South Korea and Mexico now can't afford to rest players.

tiredness plays a massive part. playing for 90 plus minutes, a lot of it without the ball is draining mentally and physically.
Sweden should have pushed on when Germany went down to 10 men.

They had some good opportunities, but failed to look up for supporting players.

To me, Germany seem to be to the World Cup what Real Madrid are to the Champions League atm. Not necessarily at the top of their game but find a way to win when the chips are down and people have written them off. Felt a bit like the quarter final vs Juventus when Ronaldo scored that 97th minute penalty

yep, agree. Getting the balance right between getting everyone behind the ball and hitting the opposition on the break.
They got it right first half, not in the second. Particularly after Boateng went.

can't see it, their defence is awful.
The only chance they've got is if Davies and Hyam have German grandparents and they're allowed to jettison them into the squad!

Looks likely to be a Germany versus Brazil 2nd round game. Maybe even France versus Argentina.

I would love to take on Argentina, France, Brazil or Germany.

I actually think we could match any of them at the moment.

Knock out stages could get really exciting! Either that or I'm still blinded with confidence from a playoff win against Exeter!

Neuer made a couple of good stops but what was he doing for the goal? ter Stegen is a better keeper and due to the amount of football he’s played this season compared to Neuer he should be the number one.

Errmmm........hmmmm..... if we get to play Germany surely we don't want to be facing their number one keeper.

They already have much the better team than us, why make them even stronger?

Both their first choice keepers crocked and their third choice having to come in is much the better option, surely?
