Depends on how many players they can get rid of and bring in, if it suddenly sinks in to Learner how much they will lose I would expect him to give Nigel Pearson a few quid and they will go up easily, welcome to league 1 season 17/18 if they continue to piss about

Wholesale change is needed for it to happen and then they've got to gel and stay gelled which is easier said than done as we've witnessed ourselves. They could do the double drop yet. Better teams have come down from the premier league and done it so why not Villa. Couple the team with an owner that has lost all of the little interest he had in the first place and it could be a recipe for disaster.

If Newcastle and Sunderland go down, they'll be able to keep some of their current team and add to it to come straight back up. Villa have to build a whole new squad so I doubt they'll come straight back up

I'm old enough to remember when Blackpool, Bolton etc,. were big clubs, For many years Leicester were consistently above CCFC in the league structure, Even Northampton were as well. Times change, owners change, clubs change.

Apparently Villa have the seventh highest wage bill in the Premiership and very few of their players will be that high on other clubs wish lists, that will eat into their parachute payments and beyond, they have an owner who wants out and will not be footing too many transfer fees. They have a decent youth structure but suddenly their better players have become nickable. Their one chance I think is to go for it straight away

If it's Norwich and one of those two Norwich more than any of the others would be stronger to come straight back. The other problem villa will have is whoever the other two that go down with them they will better equipped to get out with the current players and will spend.Villa need to sign players from league one to help them Dack,Sawyers,Bradshaw and Henry for a start.

I think they'll not lose much of their squad as not many will want them and most players are top championship level players not
premiership quality such as Richards, Lescott etc.....I think they will do well in championship. That being said do not care about them more worried about how we do in league 1 we need to get up!!

Newcastle have been the second biggest spenders in the premier league and their wage bill will be huge.

Was thinking about thie earlier not only would the home crowds increase in the championship but so would the away followings, if blunderland & the Geordies join Villa - they would bring huge away crowds as well as local derbies Wolves Derby Forest & Blues, Wednesday & Leeds would also be big crowds, could have been an extra 50,000 away fans, especially when you consider the poor away crowds such as Fleetwood Approx £1m+ of lost away ticket revenue. Would also remind WASPS & CCC that football is still the biggest game.

Their fans are convinced this is just a 12 month holiday from the Prem. I keep telling them that's what we thought, but they won't listen.

I work in Aston and the villa fans I work with aren't thinking like that. They're convinced they're destined for league 1.
