Interesting episode last night, good to see the background of alpha and beta .

Would like to see an episode like that about Negan

I was bored, Daz.

I was thinking about Negan last night. We had no back story for Negan. We had no back story for the Governor. Why have we had two back stories for Alpha?

Padding and filling.

I watched with my daughter last night and we were both bored. She fell asleep in the sofa and I switched off with about 17 mins to go.

Very disappointing I thought.

I think there's a Negan backstory to come when I'm guessing he becomes prominent again, the comic devoted a whole issue to him so they've got it ready made.

Enjoyed tonight’s episode , few scary moments . Bit of an “ old school” feel to it

Yes, much, much better than last week's very weak effort I think. I enjoyed that.

Not knowing what was real and what was Carol's trip was good, with the drugs suddenly being a thing in this episode though means that either she's never seen with pills again and it's never mentioned, or it causes everyone to doubt her at the most vital time in the season

Yep a much better episode tonight. First two were incredibly dull but this felt like a return to the strong season 9. Of course we have to accept they have to rebuild again which will mean a few dull episodes along the way

It was Darryl who let Negan go, right?

I have just one word for the Walking Dead world.

Moat.

In fact, I think I have been screaming that word at the TV screen for the past four or five seasons!!!

Just build a goddamn moat already. They have had years to do it. You just need some sort of drawbridge, or removable platform to get in and out and no walker would get near the fence.

M O A T!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wouldn't be half as exciting for the storyline though, Daz.

Thought Monday's episode was fantastic, really enjoyed it.

Think you are right AJ it was possibly Daryl. Or perhaps Aaron, we shall see soon enough.

It was Glenn, with Hershel’s head.

A spin off series at Warwick Castle would be pretty awesome. No need for all that fake knightly bullshit with Ezekiel, you could have the real thing!

It almost felt like the first few seasons, where there were some really dark bits. The nutty saviours son was good, brutal in killing in mum and kid.

Jefferey Dean-Morgan for me is easily the most talented actor on the show. Really hope they keep his storyline going.

Anyone else think this is all a cunning plan for Negan to infiltrate the Whisperers.

Appears on the surface like they are heading into a join forces situation, but it makes sense to assume a plot was hatched back from the prison cell and Negan was let out deliberately to get inside the Whisperer camp.

Or am I talking nonsense?

Only just caught up.

‘Things that annoy you...in a zombie apocalypse’.
Kill a little pig, clearly feel awful about it but need food. Walkers gang up on you and pinch the pig. Bastards.

Im not sure Negan will have planned it with whoever released him but im 99% sure he will end up taking the Whisperers down from inside. Hopefully he does this disguised as a wooden horse.

This sickness bug. Contaminated water? Whisperers poisoning the water?

Could it be anything else?

Radiation sickness from that Russian satellite? I would put just about everything on contaminated water from zombie viscera though.

I'm certain Negan's a cuddly bear now, even though one side kept him captive they're the ones looking after kids which seems his weakness. Whenever they have the last episode before mid-season break I reckon he's taking out the big lad.

Read Comics Online Free - The Walking Dead - Chapter 156 - Page 1
They don’t always do the same as in the books, think they will on the next death

Think it's been pretty much been guaranteed for many that Negan will be the one to kill Alpha, simply because it's almost a way of reprieve with the communities.

Another decent episode but I really wish that with the improvement in the show they'd drop their trope of a character enjoying some optimism before their obvious death. Siddiq having his moment with Rosita and then discovering why people are sick signposted what was next way too much.

I thought it was meh.... It has the makings to be a good episode it just seemed poorly executed.

As you say it was obvious saddiq would die. Dante was also very obvious as the baddy in the group because he turned up right after the bloody beheadings! Is that obvious or what....

Will be interesting to see what happens with Lydia...

Yes, it was entirely predicable. We had so many shots of water over and over again, so they couldn't have possibly signposted it any more than they did.

Who would have thunk the Whisperers had such a brilliant, award winning leading actor in their ranks, eh!

They really shouldn't have made Dante such an odd character in the first place. Should have had him blending in rather than sticking out like a sore thumb from the off.
