Liam Kelly the best midfielder in the entire squad?

Jordan Shipley better than Ben Sheaf?

Jack Burroughs outperforms Hamer and O’Hare?

Julien Dacosta better than McFadzean and Rose?

Why do you waste your time with this shit and subject us to it every year?

Not to mention the fact that Viktor and Godden are both rated worse than they were at the start of last season.

I like how they look but I don’t know what they mean.

It’s basically PPG on a player level. So a player in a winning team will do well and visa versa.

Opponents weighted as well.

Up to 10% better accuracy than Elo, it has been said doing it this way.

I know you're a fan... but surely you can't agree with any metric that says Viktor has declined since we signed him?

The metric is correct.

Could there be other factors influencing why the rating has gone down?

Hes played almost every game and the team declined during that period.

The question is: is there any relationship between a single player being in the team and the teams performance?

That's a good question. If only we had a way to measure this.

Do you expect Jack Burroughs to play as a number 10 or a number 6 next season?

And once we’ve locked in him and Liam Kelly as our first choice midfield, do you think selling Hamer and O’Hare will get us enough money to re-sign Jordan Shipley, or are we stuck with Ben Sheaf?

Not everything that counts can be counted.

What would you expect to happen next season to the ratings with new players and players already in the squad?

I think the model is too coarse TBH. I don’t think you can pull anything useful from player PPG. Maybe looking at say goals against vs defensive unit or goals scored vs attacking lineup might tease something interesting out or possession stats for the midfield two or something.
