I was given a copy of this book as a child. One line in it captivated me about City’s promotion to the top flight in 1967.
”All over the City, men stared at the final Second Division table with Coventry out there on top, stared and stared……”
I never understood why people would do that. Until this week.
Sadly, the book opens with the promotion-winning manager leaving before the start of the season
