The Sky Blue Trust.....What, when & how? (5 Viewers)

After the total embarrassment & complete lack of any coherent & united form of protest at the live TV game (with all due respect to the folks on the hill, but as a protest...its piss-poor).....

...and after reading Northern Wisdoms heartfelt "few thoughts" thread correctly stating the fact that we need LEADERSHIP, I would simply like to ask anyone from the Trusts "leadership" 3 simple questions.....

1. What are you going to next?
2. When are you going to do it?
3. How do you propose to achieve those aims?

....after all, the Trust have a relatively healthy cash balance of a fighting fund, they have an email database of over 5000 fans & they have good contacts with the local press etc....SO surely it is the Trust that should be at the forefront of a united protest movement...

...Care to enlighten us....care to show us some leadership & attempt to unite the fans?

Not sure I agree with the way you express things but the sentiment on a few threads from last night/today that there is a need for one fans' voice and one plan I agree with fully, and would agree that yesterday was a good example of why it's needed. I don't see how separation of the Trust and kcic is helping - some people on the hill, some at The Old Shepherd, the Trust promoting Riley's - is that really the best way forward? The next planned kcic initiative is the campaign for an Independent Inquiry. It's been desperately slow getting it to launch stage because kcic has no money, no formal team or organisational structure, it just relies on a network of individuals doing what they can to help. Not ideal!

This is exactly the point I'm making Michael, I appreciate that indivduals such as yourself & many others have sacrificed a lot of time & effort & I also recognise the effort etc. made by those on the hill, but with the best will in the world, your pissing in the wind unless we get numbers involved.....

...We need Leadership.....The Trust (in theory) have the resources, facilities, goodwill & fans backing to provide that leadership.....

So.....

I don't know if honesty is the best policy but here goes - I disagreed with the Trust separating off kcic and continue to believe the Trust should take over kcic. If the Trust would say yes I'd handover kcic immediately

As far as I was concerned (and I did ask) the Sky Blue Trust did not organise the protest on the Hill Yesterday.

Could it be the trust are still trying to organise behind the scenes negotiations and thought by organising mass protest it could weaken their position?

or is that just me being overly optimistic ><

Could be true.....but I'm just getting a little frustrated that our one & only fans collective (of any note) appears to have lost its voice.....

Who would they protest against?

And so it goes on...
If we have any hope of getting Coventry City back in Coventry the Trust needs to be independent of protests towards one group or other and work behind the scenes if needs be with all parties to try to assist the process.

If it's of any interest I've posted the following at - https://www.facebook.com/KeepCovInCovCampaign/posts/537000393047146

End Game - the kcic 6 point vision and view.

Last week a couple of people posted really good questions asking what kcic sees as the end game in the acl-sisu dispute, so here goes with a draft kcic view of things and comments v welcome.

1. Fans can make a difference, like at Swansea, Portsmouth and lots of other places.

2. A fan-led ownership model (working alongside co-investors who want to put the team and fans first) is what we need because there is no guarantee another rich owner will be any better than the string of people who have led us into this mess and only supporters are motivated solely by what is best for CCFC.

3. Unless Seppala wants to be downright evil and liquidate the Club (which as we know she won’t do cos according to the Cov Tel she’s a devout Christian) the game is up for her and she needs an exit option – selling to a fan-led consortium might even restore some of the reputational damage sisu is suffering.

4. We make this happen by continuing to show Seppala that all she will get if she stays is bigger financial losses, more scrutiny of sisu and more public attention. This is a nagging toothache campaign and we just ain’t going to go away.

5. When Seppala decides to sell we make clear to potential investors that after all we have gone through if they want a successful CCFC they have to work alongside fans in a new ownership model, and the same goes for acl in terms of getting a deal that is best for the team and fans.

6. Will it work? There’s only one way to find out and that’s by trying which is what kcic is all about!

Michael, until you tone down your personal hatred of Seppala (the Christianity stuff is just offensive) you will continue to be seen as a bit of a twisted joke.

Be interested to know where this fan lead consortium is?

The thing is though, what plans are there for fan ownership? Have funds been raised or are new owners expected to give a % away?

I am all for fans running the club and would probably invest myself if I thought the plan was going to be a good one.

How are fans suggesting to buy SISU out?

You posted the other day about wanting to get fans united and it made a lot of sense, but now it has gone back to hate sisu and call Joy Sepalla names etc?

I'd want to see if fans could organise a piss up in a brewery before I let them loose on the club itself!

Don't think it'll happen. Would be nice for fan ownership, but who in their right mind would spend millions buying the club and then turn it over to the fans. And it would have to be a bloody big whip round for us to buy Joy out ourselves.
