Remember all that rain we've had? Doesn't repair itself overnight...

The state of the pitch worried me last night. Robins himself said "we went long which we don't like to do". I think whilst the quality of football has improved over the years in the lower leagues, there are still teams such as Preston who like to play in the clouds. Could work against us if it gets worse.

The harsh conditions lately would have destroyed any pitch. I think its coped rather well considering the rainfall and the tempretures we've had

We have one of the best groundsmen in the country; we have a modern pitch with proper heating, efficient sprinklers, movable heaters etc. You need to feed a pitch and that means fertilizer etc. For the pitch to be in the state it was is down to Fisher and his cost cutting, nothing else.
