Called Rivers to Colts as soon as it was announced he wasn’t going back to L.A.

No need to thank me.
25 million one year shot at a superbowl.
Do love the way free agency builds into the draft then into the season. How so many sides can build themselves into genuine contenders on paper. Already Colts and Bills are pushing themselves into real contention.

Don't sleep on the Browns, they underperformed last year and have added further weapons with a better coach.

Going to be a lot of teams in the mix.
Concern for the Browns is whether Mayfield can grow up a bit and realize it's not college football.
Not sure about Stefanski or the back office influences the Browns mess about with. Kubiak a bigger influence in turning Vikings offense around last year - that was iffy at best beginning of last season.

Bears finally address the Trubitsky situation and bring in Foles - who veers between outstanding and poor on his day.

Lions rapidly turning into Pats 2. Like Liverpool continually signing Southampton players:)

Gurley available. Rams predictable cap issues finally bite. Now will we find out the truth about his injuries?

Redskins seemingly going for a tank/prove it on your own Haskins year. Expected some big moves in FA but only back ups coming in and our best corner traded for a 5th which we then give away fro a backup QB.

I think they take Young still at 2 as he's a generational player that you can build a roster around but we're deferring the cap space to next year which will give us a lot of room to work with once Smith's contract is out.

This season then is just a massive test for Haskins, who obviously wasn't Rivera's pick, to show if he has the talent to do it in the NFL. If it works then we go really big for his 3rd year and surround him with talent, if it doesn't then we might end up with a more sure pick like Lawrence to give the weapons to.

Either way not looking like a great year.

Don't we say that every year these days??

Could be taking a look at Haskins before making a decision. There is 3 big QBs out there and only the Pats possibly in the market. Newton, Winston, Dalton. All would take a 1 year deal.
Or else they are going to trade 2nd pick - maybe with Miami who have a lot of draft capital.
Williams - who knows but aren't many teams can afford him even if he is cut.

so weird the lead up to this draft.
Normally you have all sorts of movers (up and down) after the workouts etc. (which were all cancelled).

Yeah they’re saying it could be the most accurate mocks ever as nobody has anything else to go on. I think Burrow and Young (without any insane trades) are locks then Detroit really should be taking Odukah so the real interest high up is where Tua goes, if there are any trades for him or if Herbert moves ahead.

Would still be Tua for me.
Consistent body of work at a high level - even when not fully fit.
Herbert's senior bowl redeemed him a bit after a poorer season than last one. I had him ahead of Jones and Haskins if he'd been in last year's draft. Mind you I preferred Lock to Jones:)
Depends on the injury reports as teams own docs can't check him in person.
Skins take Young and that's potentially one of the top defences next season.
Interesting if a team would pay for Young considering what moving up to get Tua would cost (even though Lions and Giants wouldn't be taking a QB)

There is always that big concern on Tua’s durability though. Injuries stacking up and only hit on around 3% of drop backs at Bama. In the NFL he can expect more contact and heavier tackling.

Strange to think what a lock for first pick he was this time last year. You wouldn’t think a guy that couldn’t get past Haskins at Ohio would be a lock in first.

I’m expecting big things from Haskins this year though, he really started to get it towards the end and pull off some great plays.

sure.
But they said the same about Murray taking more hits.
Tua has great pocket awareness and movement.
The latest injury was a freak one.

I'm sure Burrow will do okay but one great season (in a very good system) has masked the previous 4 years. Everything hit for LSU (bit like the Eagles SB season).
Were lucky to get past Auburn and i still think a fully-fit Tua (wasn't more than 75% in that game) could have got Bama past LSU - Bama lost their composure in the last 3 mins of 1st half and blew the game. After Tua had just dropped the ball 1st quarter with no-one near him when he jarred his ankle around the redzone. (possibly 1st drive of the game??)

Haskins could be good but still going to need some help - Mclaurin can't do it all. Sims could be interesting. Does AP have another season in him? Can Guice stay healthy?

I can see Burrow being Dalton mk2

Feels like the start of a cycle for the skins 2-3 years, defensive front almost complete if we do take Young which looks a no brainer, you then have 2-3 years to improve the back end of the defence and decide what you want your offense to look like in that 2-3 year period, if this defence can be top 5/top 8 this year, which in turn will help Haskins then the following 2 years could be really exciting. Feels like things are being done the right way finally.

Sounds like Trent may finally get traded, O line needs work

Yeah rumours are during the draft when an O line needy team misses out on a top prospect but are in a win now scenario they look at Trent.

We've been linked for one of our 1st round picks but don't see us having the cap space and 1st round is a bit high.

Think Foster back makes a big difference - if fully fit and behaving himself. A real talent on the field.

Yea, would have to think a first is way too high, 31 year old tackle with a history of injurys, he may have a little more in his tank due to inactivity the last couple of years but youd have to think he's one twisted ankle/knee away from being done

Odds on this draft going without a technical hitch?
0

heard there were a few hitches in the tests. I’m sure the picks will go alright but the feeds to players are bound to fail. I saw teams are asking fans to send boos in so they can play them round Goodell, made me laugh.

At least I don’t have to stay up late for this one. Chase Young at 2 and bed thanks. Please don’t trade.

There are Seahawks on here aren't there? What you expecting/hoping for draft wise? I've read a bit about Jonathan Taylor and he sounds exciting. I'd like a bit more protection for Russell Wilson.
