on the basis of having already sold 27,000 for a game that still is over a week away - i think we can assume the attendance is going to be somewhere between 30,000 - 32,000. is it really worth arguing over?

Nobody is arguing, and you have missed the point. The game has now sold out. All people are saying is that it would be good if they could restrict the away allocation (which they will not sell) so that as many city fans can get there as possible. 30-32k would be nice, but at the moment that isn't possible. That is the discussion people are having.

that is correct Coundon - the last block (9) is now released, but only half way. That's our lot !I don't know this, but my guess is half of block 9 is now being sold at the ticket office only. If anyone is up there could they clarify?

It would have been easy to miss as it only looked different for an hour or so, they opened the second half of 10 and sold it within about an hour.
