Sad this won't be the biggest attendance at the Ricoh cause of the shite support from Crewe.

Hopefully they have pay on the gate in the away end and we'll invade that as well.

Look like it will be the largest home attendance for a game though at the Ricoh

Crewe will be in block 9, hopefully the club can find a way to get some of our fans into blocks 6 & 7.

More tickets sold now than the max seating capacity of Highfield road. Can we all now stop Ricoh bashing and look forward to the land around the stadium been developed?

There's still a section of block 26 which hasn't been released, looks around 200-250 or so. I'd imagine these will be released tomorrow and then the club need to look at Block 10 and then see what else they can make available. Personally i don't think that anything after that will become available, which is a shame but there's is no way that the club could have forseen the demand prior to the tickets being given to Crewe. Hopefully they can sort something even if it means temporary barriers on the concourse and a line of stewards/police.

The way the concourse is designed means you can put in temp walls/barriers, so there is no bother there.

I do remember one game where we sandwiched the away fans, I was sitting near the Marconi/Telent/Prawn sandwich stand but in the jewson. Can't for the life of me remember who we were playing though.

They could always segregate the away side of block 9,pushing the away fans into 6,7 and 8. Then open whats left of 9 to home fans but close the stairwell of 9 so that the home fans have to go down block 10 stairwell, therefore ending up on the appropriate side of the shutters in the concourse.

No, it was definitely a Cov match, it was the daytime and a Saturday. I'm talking years ago though. It must have been a pretty woeful match if I can't remember any of it.

I can remember playing Watford and Barnsley at home where Cov fans were in the Jewson. Use't to get a good atmosphere from it as well.

dont forget we got 4000 corporate seats to fill.

prob looking at 26000 normal priced seats aswell as the 4000 corporates, the only game weve filled the posh bit was for chelsea.

Didn't they stop it after a game where the away coaches got the window put through with a brick or summat?

143 left to buy - unless they open up another block.

Only single seats left now. So unless more blocks are opened up is now pretty much sold out.

Reading there forum, I thought "There's a lot of people called Alex on here" Then it hit me:facepalm:

I like this post!!!

"Not 'tin pot', based on the club's league's history since coming out of the doldrums in 1968. As you say, there were many seasons during that spell that Coventry were a First Division club (consecutively). Before that time, City spent seasons in all three divisions below that.

It would be rude to call you 'tin pot'. Perhaps the cup you so aspire to lifting could be termed such, especially following previous silverware gained by the Sky Blues. It really is no big deal. Your sights should be clearly focused on a top three finish. That is the only worthwhile reward for a team that should not be playing in L1. "

So how many have Crewe been allocated?

Wonder if the big match atmosphere will motivate more of them to take the trip down. Bit of a silly comparison but when we went to old Trafford, lots of people went to be part of a huge crowd . For Crewe, it's not like they are going to be playing in front of 30 thousand in the near future ( unless they beat us)
