One game at a time for me.

Has anyone got any of these predictions anywhere near right in the past? 🤪

Results lately have just shown you can beat anyone and fail against anyone.

So, I have no idea. Literally. I'd like to think we can get something at Sheff Utd, but we're going to have to play really well.

I wouldn't predict the Stoke game until after the Utd game and I know when I have predicted for batches of games like this, my predictions have been really wayward.

When I do so on an individual game basis, I am much more accurate.

One game at a time for me too.

Sheffield United next looks the most difficult game out of the next 5. Wilder has them picking up points again after their disastrous start under his replacement. They're quite strong at home now and will be looking at beating us to help their charge up the table to make the playoffs. A lot of it will depend on which Hamer turns up, but hopefully Onyeka will mark him out of the game.

We should bask in yesterday's sun as long we can.

It is feasible that we could lose midweek and all of the rivals for the autos could win.

I don't think that will happen, but it's possible. We would be back to where we were then.

However, that would be one more game gone and less of a chance for sides to catch us. The more the games tick by with us still at the top, the better, quite obviously.

Spot on.

An interesting week coming up. No easy games for those in the chasing pack.

What looked like an easy game for Middlesbrough doesn't look so easy now. Leicester have finally signed a manager and are playing for their survival. 1 point from 2 games starts putting doubt into players. 1 goal in 2 games and not many good chances.

Ipswich, who like us have struggled away from home, travel to 9th place Watford. They are only 3 points out of the playoffs so have everything to play for.

3rd place Millwall play 7th place Birmingham.

5th place Hull play 8th place Derby.

That just leaves Wrexham as the only team in the top 9 not mentioned so far. Home to Portsmouth who have turned a corner and getting results. Not too worried about Wrexham as they are 14 points behind us with 13 games to go.

Whatever happens we will still be top and there will be more dropped points for those in the chasing pack.

The thing is we don’t have to play well to get a result
Just play sensible and be clinical up front and stubborn at the back
If 2 players have blinders let’s have them be Rushworth and Wright

Bigger test on Wednesday. shef Utd have turned it around and are looking at a late Playoff push. they are a lot stronger at home and Ohare has been their player of the season so far. Their defence is still shaky though a little like us but scoring a few goals.
would happily take a draw now but if we really have changed our away form with Onyeka coming in there is no reason to not be looking for three points. If we can keep Hamer and Ohare quiet they dont have much creativity after that and we will need to be on it from the start like the boro game. Can see a few goals in this with both defences not great and good going forward

Yeah, but they are 9 points adrift of the playoff places.

Would beer a very, very good run to make up that ground
