Watched the first season and thought it was as depressing as fuck.

ya i love my scifi and so wanna like show but gave up after 1.5 seasons as nothing much happens. that said i am planning on getting back to it now amazon have saved it

It really picks up in that sense in the third season but I was enjoying the world and characters enough to not worry about the main plot advancing too quickly.
