I thought you would be happy with the way parliament has refused to leave so far. The whole fudge has been on the side who voted remain so far.Yes, we have to have a good reason. It hasn't been likely to happen for ages. The vast majority of MP's want to remain. And who is it that holds the power?size of today's defeat will set the agenda. If it's still not even close then you have to assume it's never going to happen.

What we have got is lip service.
We have May pushing something that keeps us tied to the EU. But it is still called leaving. If she finally gets it through...which I very much doubt....we will end up with a very long extension. Nothing will change. And don't even know if we would end up leaving.
The vote against leaving without a deal is to make sure we stay in. The only deal we will be offered will keep everything as it is now.
I am happy that we are staying in. But extremely pissed of with how they have played the system. It is wrong. The small amount of faith I had left in them has gone. So I can imagine how those who want to leave will feel when they realise they have been had. I would prefer another referendum (And I am totally against one because of the damage it would cause) than the UK being bullshitted by parliament.
Agreed. He’s an intelligent guy but is at the extreme end (like the hard brexiteers) who don’t listen to anyone’s point of view and just come over as smug and opinionated.

Brexit will do nothing to solve these problems. It will aggravate them as if, as most experts and businessmen predict, GDP will grow slower than in the EU, there will be less government cash available, bar unlikely taxation changes for the wealthy and stronger controls of tax havens.
Brexit has set us back years already.

The whole deadlock in Parliament is a result of politicians torn between a 52-48 vote 3 years ago and every analysis going showing that we will be worse off than staying.
