I doubt he wants actual power because at that point he’ll have to be come accountable. He’s the kid in the school yard standing at the back shouting the loudest “hit him”. He’ll retire as soon as there’s any chance of him gaining power and accountability.

What have I said to offend this friend? My comment was designed to hit the spot it might well have hit. Numbers are important. How far are people prepared to go in dissmissing numbers as big as we are talking about? 1-2m votes is not acceptable to me!

And the right to download child porn?? Come on it’s madness and shocking she was even a candidate in the first place.

Claire Fox is a nut job - but anyone can find any extremist in any party. There are sitting labour councillors who’ve written extraordinary abusive anti Jewish and anti Gay diatribe on social media and are still in position - you would vote for no party on that basis

I think the point is that there are certain righties more than keen to throw mud, when the righter the party goes, the more mud there is to throw at it.Ultimately the 'mainstream' parties tend to have more rigorous gatekeeping, even if there are deranged Tories and Labour to be found if you look.

Blimey, so @westcountry_skyblue has voted for a party who had no problems putting a candidate forward who is a hard leftie, IRA sympathiser and who has defended a convicted sex offender’s right to download child porn.

Wow!

Interesting how many communists the Brexit party have in their ranks. I wonder how many Brexit party voters are aware? Imagine the tabloid outcry if that was any other party!

I assume the far left plan with Brexit is trash the economy with no deal then see if people have the taste for communism?

Whatever their plan is, they are following the leader‘s example of not telling anyone about the manifesto beyond we want to crash out of the EU as soon as possible.

It seems that power is the aim of all these people. Ego, narcissistic tendencies and the feel of power is pulling them in. Many Brexit candidates are already very wealthy and so a 100000€ a year is not the motivation of them. Wealth comes with power anyway, so get the power and it’s win win.

You couldn’t make it up. All of the ranting on here about ‘lefties’ and Corbyn, and they’ve gone and voted for a party with more than one hahahahaha

It’s almost as if Brexit completely clouds their judgement and they forget their previous criticism of the IRA and now seem to be okay with candidates who advocate that people like Glitter should be allowed to download child porn.

Got it wrong. The earth does revolve around the sun. Mistyped. Leavers are up there with people who believe the sun revolves around the earth.

Farage has learnt from Trump about how to craft a cult of personality. As the great orange hope once said, 'I could shoot someone in the middle of the street and they'd still vote for me'.

Whilst that may be true that you'll find extremists in any party, but the Brexit party are apparently new and different. The ratio of extremists to normals is much higher.

She was a member of the Revolutionary Communist Party but that's a red herring (pardon the pun)

"My personal politics and views are well known and I have never sought to disguise them, though on this issue they have remained unaired for many years.
"Whatever the rights and wrongs, the history of Ireland has been marked by tragedy and I acknowledge that without hesitation and with genuine feeling for all involved.
"My political views have never made me insensitive to the pain and suffering caused to the innocent victims of events such as the Warrington bomb.”

Anyone still for leave? 6 million signatures and 1 million marchers puts Farage’s argument about opinion hardening towards the EU also to bed. His pub crawl „Brexit Betrayal“ is a flop. 29 March won’t be anything like the March, and the petition won’t reach anything like 6 million ( even if they use bots ). The Tories, and the ERG are crumbling.

Will be interesting to see how much the Brexit fans poll at the EU elections. The PM has just resigned for not being able to carry out Brexit. The contenders for her job are saying we’ll get Brexit through and then everything will be rosy. Yeah. Sure, and everyone will be happy.

Farage has rallied the people back behind him. True. Nothing has changed though. Lots of talk about how great it will be and fighting back against the elite - from a party fielding some of the elite as candidates. Comedy gold indeed.

No tangible benefits on the horizon. Just more crap about getting better trade deals with countries like China, India, Japan and the USA than we have or could have via the EU - all of whom have told the UK that won’t happen.

How are the problems of the UK being handled during the Brexit farce?

We have a zombie government, a zombie opposition with a Bennite leader stuck in the 70s, and the government, and/ or local authorities, is likely to be taken to court for disenfranchising EU citizens at the EU elections through maladministration and incompetence. Again, comedy gold.

You are laughing that there are still mugs out there actually wanting this crap against my statement that people were not that stupid and were waking up to what Brexit is doing to the UK. My statement has been proved wrong since Farage is back, but it is really no laughing matter when thousands of sheep are sending 25€ to his company to not become members of a party, or voting to encourage the country to commit self harm.

Brexit is still a long way away.

Yep I think if brexit UKIP and conservative poll less than 45% then any argument about will of the people is nonsense
