Got a new reversing camera for the car last Christmas.
Since then I’ve never looked back.

Favourite Christmas song. You never hear it, which is a shame, but always loved it since the time, I think I was 8 or 9 or something.

Just had the annual internal debate, panic and ”sod it” session.

Buys a frozen turkey crown around 20th December

Debates how to defrost it and when 21st - 22nd December

Plumps for a safe fridge defrost over a couple of days, neglecting that the fridge is packed with the rest of the Xmas scran

Forgets everything

Wakes up 5am 24th December panicking how and when to defrost it in time

Spends two hours reading various online resources saying it MUST be defrosted in fridge or risk poisoning all family and guests

Spends 30 mins reading horror stories of crowns not fully defrosting in fridge in time

Debates defrosting it at room temperature and risking lives

Thinks sod it and defrosts in the (cooler) conservatory anyway

(three years in a row and no salmonella etc. yet )

I’d love to be one of those people who chance their arm and wait for some bargains but I just can’t . I was in the Holyhead the other day and a shop lifter was taking orders

The wife and I are having Christmas at home this year; we'd normally splash out to have lunch at a pub but have decided to stay in. We don't eat meat so will be having a goats cheese starter and a cauliflower pithivier for main alongside roasties, yorkies and numerous oven-ready sides. We're going out tonight for our traditional curry-based sesh with my parents. One of my favourite weeks of the year

I've always done it at room temperature a day or two before, no problems

If defrosted in a day it goes back in the fridge mind

Cooked at 200 degrees will kill the bacteria...

Merry Christmas everyone. Personally, not had a good one. Missus was wandering round at 2.30am, then woke me to ask if I wanted a coffee! At 2.30??
Anyway, she's sleeping now while I cook dinner. Leg of lamb. Enjoy the rest of the day with your familys. They are important. Love Baz & Wendy xxx

Hi Mcbean. I assume you mean my little Chico, the Chihuahua? We've had him for just over a year after losing my last beautiful boy. Yes, I do love my music. Probably listen to my music more than watch TV these days. Sadly, my missus doesn't have the same interest and prefers to engross herself in 'scary' stuff like the Walking Dead etc. Keeps her happy. I am so looking forward to the game tomorrow, as ever. I'll be watching on Sky, as I always do with City games these days. I just wish I could absorb the atmosphere by actually being there, but daren't leave the missus for more than ½hour to an hour. If you're going, give the lads on the pitch a shout for me! All the best, Baz

Will do - and I am sure a lot on here are rooting for both of you - I mentioned the dog as my mother worshipped her golden retriever - she was a companion dog so she took her into hospitals and the dog had a a very calming effect on patients and I wondered if your Chico would do the same with your wife take care

Wendy adores Chico, as she did with Harvey, our Chihuahua who passed away last year. She'd love to take him a walk but she can't walk 5 yards herself, let alone with a dog in tow! I miss little Harvey so much, but not sure if Wendy realises he's gone.
I really struggle with her mental state, even to the point that I tend to shout and lose it with her because I'm so frustrated at the stuff she comes out with. There's talk of respite care going on with Worcestershire social services at the moment, so I'm hoping something will come of it.
Anyway, I've predicted a 2-0 win tomorrow! Hope I'm right!
