So if 'everything else' is split down the middle, their half of 'everything else' will be substantially more than 100% of whatever they can generate on their own.

Exactly. The Trust and people trying to play it down give him a free pass.
Put statements out saying the trust will help as much as they can and fully back a central location etc etc.

Its more likely it's actually their opinion, that they have a concern about the capacity. Planning is already in place for 11-12k.
I think the sky blue Trust still hold hope that one day with have owners who have a genuine ambition to return theclub to the top flight.
They just realise how hard it will be to get the green light for highercapacities in the future.
They released a statement about it last time round when it was 'leaked'.
