Would still get 365 revenue wouldn't it?

Allegedly the deal is CRFC get all rugby revenue, CCFC get all football revenue everything else is split. It just doesn't add up to me as to why CRFC would want to get involved with sisu.
However, I did say I would want confirmation from Jon Sharp before I believed it and he has made that statement today so maybe there is something to it.

So what do you think of the statement Jon Sharp made? I really can't see how this is going to work but it would appear there is something going on between the two Coventry clubs.
To be honest, I'm still very sceptical.

Wasps' arrival means do something or die, I'd assume.

So CRFC build a shiny new stadium, let us rent it off them and then kindly hand over
The revenue streams,
You'd have thought they might look to have some of that for themselves.

The main reason I can think of is no matter CCFC will always generate more money than CRFC. Without a doubt.
So if 'everything else' is split down the middle, their half of 'everything else' will be substantially more than 100% of whatever they can generate on their own.

And to add to that, CCFC's share of everything else for 365 days a year will be more than the fuck all we get now.

quite possibly NW.
Could it also mean the end to loaning of wasps players to CRFC? How important is that arrangement to Cov? I'll be honest, other than looking at their results I don't really follow them.

Has it been said CRFC will be doing it all and paying for everything and just gifting things?

that sounds plausible.
But what happens to the plans Cov had for the site which I believe included student accommodation and some retail? Is this tie up with CCFC going to be more lucrative than that?
As the song says, there are more questions than answers!

Not a clue to be honest. I was just coming up with the reason I believe CRFC would be considering getting involved.

It was a good point, and you may have hit the nail on the head, I'm just struggling to pinpoint exactly why CRFC would do this, I can think of several reasons why they shouldn't.

Haven't the time,
But the idea is then we get access to our RS plus a share of the rest, I doubt that
Would come to anymore than we currently get at the Ricoh, with pitiful crowds and
Not having to do anything for it.

Move the statue and garden.

Exactly. The Trust and people trying to play it down give him a free pass.

Put statements out saying the trust will help as much as they can and fully back a central location etc etc.

Maybe it goes against the chance of them getting fan ownership?

Its more likely it's actually their opinion, that they have a concern about the capacity. Planning is already in place for 11-12k.
I think the sky blue Trust still hold hope that one day with have owners who have a genuine ambition to return theclub to the top flight.
They just realise how hard it will be to get the green light for higher capacities in the future.
They released a statement about it last time round when it was 'leaked'.
(I think it was just before we entered rental talks via Anderson)
Saying they welcomed the talks but wanted fans to be kept informed as much as possible and they had concerns about the capacity

Probably not the place of this thread, but now that the Ricoh is definitely not ours, I always thought Jimmy's statue deserved a place in the city centre, maybe somewhere just by the lower precinct and the crossroads.

We've got Godiva and Frank Whittle there after all, so why not add another city great?

So they should get behind it and say how popular it is.

Don't you think when happily point out how nobody is going to buy tickets every 5 minutes is just showing that a 12k stadium would be more than enough?

wouldnt they have to pay all the bills in the period of time that SISU (CCFC) use the stadium for football related things ? basically the same as at the wasp nest all be it at a cheaper rate?

If the organisers of the protest group want to move, they can move themselves.

I think he would like it. I don't think he will want more than the 11-12k capacity that is already agreed for planning permission.
I think he knows that would be bad for the rugby club.
I think he is smart enough to put safeguards in place that his role is you make your peace with the council first as we don't want them as enemies.
I think he is smart enough not to trust SISU hence he is firmly saying you get the council on side before we do anything.
I think he will make it know tithe council he is ok with it if they are.
Then I think he will step back and let SISU do all the work behind the scenes and in the press.
I think he won't invest any money in and the minimum time he needs to, in order to ensure if SISU are not bluffing the Rugby club are protected.
Then when it all falls apart he and the rugby club will not be affected at all.
I think as long as he doesn't upset the council he has nothing to lose, by going along with it.

Exactly.

Keep asking for a show of hands amongst angry people at every chance and acting smug and then moaning a stadium isn't big enough and the budget isn't low. Especially when they say "away days only" which is another word for NOPM. Starve that football club.

You would have to assume that Sharp sees this as a as good, if not better, option or he wouldn't be open to the idea.
