He is getting paid good money to do not much. Hasn't he said he hasn't had many offers? Retirement time?

Garry McSheffrey has given this club great service, and is also one of our own. I think the way he is being treated is an absolute disgrace.

He has earned nearly £500k since the start of last season. I agree its a disgrace, but not by the way the club have treated him...

I'm reasonably certain that McShef himself would prefer that it was all over. It must be miserable being in that state of limbo. He's still a young man with a life ahead. If he had been made a reasonable offer I think he would have moved on. But as usual it appears that frustrating an agreement is the only tool in the SISU kit bag. Give him a reasonable deal and let us all move on.

So does he have to leave to get respect? so why don't you leave your job with nothing else lined up? they have put him on garden leave for whatever reason then let them pay.
Why is it a disgrace? He is still being paid?

The thing is, if he had found another club he would get a nice pay off from CCFC and then a new job so it would be double win...

He has said he has had no offers, does that say anything? Unless he meant offers he would take.

Certainly agree that he has not been the player he was since his return from Birmingham but don't think anyone can question his effort or love for the club. Why bring money into the discussion, it wasn't his fault what was offered by the club ?

I haven't said anything about him having to leave, I said it wasn't a disgrace that he is in the bomb squad as he is still being paid.

If he doesn't want to leave then it is up to him ;)

Well done Pressley, stuck to your guns and have managed to offload the entire bomb squad.

It's a great shame that the bomb squad existed at all. We have been very lucky with injuries so far this season. I would have felt far happier with McSheffrey, Jennings and Edjinguele on the bench than untried academy players.

Not saying these are right, but assuming.....

Edge 3k
Malaga 3k
Bell 6k
McDonald 6k
McSheffrey 8k
Jennings 4k
Dunn 2k

Over £1.5m a year saved there !

Agreed, as it goes, not a bad day for CCFC. No outgoings, bomb squad gone, wages for loans. Plus that 1.5 mill can go towards our new stadium ;-)

says it all for this regime we don't like the amount of money you are being paid even though we agreed to it! so we are putting you all in a bomb squad to fester and be humiliated. Just think it is disgraceful to treat people like that goes back to the dark days in the eighties when companies just hired and fired.
except we don't seem to be hiring, hope we don't get too many injuries.

Have to admit I am happy with how it went down, Gone are the days where we will have wasters on our bench taking our limited resources or even worse playing without any heart. If Sheff or any of the others were playing well and were up for the fight we wouldn't be having this conversation. I wish them all well but a lot of them would have been expensive bench warmers, we now need to sign a few that are as good but on the way up rather than on the way down to allow us to mix it up a bit.

Like a lot of folk I am very happy we have managed to come to agreements with all the bomb squad members, we still need numbers and I hope we get them..
