Examples of the same on a range of subjects and opinions on a zillion other threads.

I wouldn't stop going to games just because of poor results. (Although probably the majority do and have). You can't say that our chances of winning more than we lose have ever been very high.

I think what is underlying the OP is the feeling that the owners have pulled the rug from under the manager and the team and will continue to do so. We appear to be in a decline which they are unwilling to address in the only way anyone ever can - by throwing money at it.

To get any improvement - and especially a chance of moving up the leagues - they will have to spend big bucks. It isn't going to happen.

But it isn't a reason for not going.

Or they go to Sixfields. Or don't hang on Ann Lucas' every word. Or cream themselves over PWKH.

We are heading for the non league no doubt about it unless someone comes in to invest in the club.

Just unthinkable. It would be bad enough for the only professional football team from England's 10th largest city to go into the fourth tier - which is looking increasingly like a possibility - but non league!

I would like to think (no doubt in error) that if we ended up there, under SISU, they would be so embarrassed they would sell the club on.

The OP has gave an opinion some don't agree, some make think he is over reacting but i think most understand that he is losing hope of a brighter future.. Going to watch the club for some is everything, every goal means everything, every win means a good week, every loss means a shit week, that in the end turns to well next game will be different... That is hope, hope that one day you will be at Wembley in a FA cup Final, cheering a promotion or standing up when a top signing scores in a packed crowd at home or with your mates away ...

I have been lucky, from 6 years of age i have had most of the experiences above and will be grateful that the good times i had i shared with family and friends. Today and for the last few years i can't see hope, i can't see any progress i can't see how and why our club is being taking to depth i never dreamed of it being at in my entire life... I don't care what the same few will respond to this, i don't care for the club how i used too, i know i will always be proud to say where i'm from and who i support but at this time more than any other time hope is gone.... Will it come back yeah i'm sure, and not just because we win a few game or that i'd fuck AL or suck off TF,, i just want Hope that tomorrow is a better day and the direction the club is taking is a different one they we are walking now..

Watering Hole?

In reaction to the OP, I grew up in Perranporth, and went to around 5 home games a season (1988 to 1998). We used to win on average, 1 of those!

I sure as hell won't give up now!

What I'd give for an away day at Villa on the train or a relegation battle in the premier league now.
Good old days.
Not ruling out a relegation battle this season yet though !!!

Maybe if some of those taking the piss needed a day to travel as far for each game and paid close to £100 a time with travel costs and whatever else they would see things differently. It is a long day and a shit day when the odds are we are just going to roll over and lose to the clubs that until recently you would have expected us to beat.

I agree with you in a way there, Astute. However, it’s all about choice, isn’t it? No one forces us to go. Those who sit around me are a good example. We have one old bloke who lives ten minutes away from the Ricoh and walks. We come from Warwick, so a forty mile round trip and another bloke comes from Chelmsford, so that’s over 200 miles. It’s a longer day for our Chelmsford colleague and worse for him if we’ve played rubbish, but he’s still there the following week.
When we are all complaining about the team, the owners, the stadium, the results, the manager, etc etc then we need to realise that no one forces us to do it, it’s not compulsory, though sometimes it does feel like it.
And as for “expected”. Well, “expected” has a tendency to punch you in the face, push you on the floor and nick your phone and wallet.

I fully agree with you.

But the journey home does get to you. 4 1/2 hours there hoping that you will be better this week. 4 1/2 hours home wondering why the f*ck you bothered. And after a few of them the decision gets easier. Especially if you travel alone.

Absolutely. Sometimes even the journey back to Warwick seems forever so I really admire the dedication of you guys who travel such distances.
