I don't know. What sort of person pretends to be someone they've never met on a local radio phone-in show. Maybe they'll have the balls to admit it on here, but I doubt it.

I too was surprised by the text read out by Eakin from "Torchmatic", as I had never heard of him texting in before. But I suppose that these, "handles", are not protected and if he says that it was not him then so be it.

Look. I wasn't upset by it, it did make me laugh, however, it wasn't me. Why would someone do that? Would you send something to CWR and pretend it came from someone else? There are loads of people I disagree with on here but I wouldn't text or email into CWR using their name. It's a odd, sad thing to do. The person who did it is obviously equally as odd and sad.

why start a thread on it? It is just attracting more attention and giving the person who sent it even greater notoriety. Unless you want people talking about you, which is a bit strange in my book.

What I don't get is how can someone have a monopoly on a name. I mean, it's like saying that I am the only Gordon in Warwick and no one else can go by that name.

Just ignore it, Torchy, you have some strong views, so such activity goes with the turf, I suppose. It's a case of 'if you can't stand the heat, don't so publicly and vehermently ass-lick SISU'.
