Club owner Joy Seppala said: “There has been an overwhelming response to the team returning to the city.

“It would be great for Steven Pressley, the team, everyone at the club who has worked so hard over the past year and for the fans if there was a big crowd there for the first game back.

“To help create a special atmosphere on the night, we wanted to reduce prices to encourage more people to go along to the game and give the team the welcome they deserve.

“It’s been a difficult 12 months for everybody concerned and I sincerely hope that the night of September 5 is an evening for the fans to remember for all the right reasons.”

Really should be a sell out, if we can sell it out for a tinpot trophy semi final against Crewe, this should be easy.

£1 for U16s as well.

Better than I expected that.

No excuses for a nice big crowd now, even my missus has said she fancies coming along.

Unless I missed it there was no mention of when the Gills tickets will be going on sale. Are we to assume it will be the same time assseason tickets?

Ah, that way lies disaster. By the time you get out, you'll probably have lost enough to buy us all a season ticket. :)

Definitely sell out now. I can't see any other way other than a sell out.

£10 a ticket is a great idea. Sell the place out and show Coventry city is still alive and proud

Any idea when tickets for this go on sale?

Probably ages away yet.

Incompetence and poor planning in the ticket office is a CCFC tradition. In a way its strangely reassuring that this game is no different. Feels like its our old club again!

To be fair, it sounds like the deal was only done yesterday morning. These things take time.
