this will the same situation as parkin and turner !!! we agree to let cardiff have RK and then earnshaw will not be able to agree terms and we will still lose our main player and captain for fuck all or peanuts and end up with no replacement !!!!:jerkit::jerkit::jerkit::jerkit:

Earnshaw would be excellent for us-would definitely do a real job. Whether Keogh would actually be replaced is another matter...

I've heard Ysrael Zuniga is still banging in the goals week in week out back in deepest darkest Peru...

Is this 'deal' supposed to persuade me to part with my hard-earned for a Season Ticket? Yeah right....

Not long ago, a very reliable source (telegraph writer) dismissed the Earnshaw rumours.

@martinsmith1979: For those of you asking, I'm told that Robert Earnshaw is not the experienced striker on City's wanted list. #skyblues

I think the problem with Earnshaw signing for you will be his wages. He is on a weekly wage of £10,000+. However Malky MacKay doesn't rate him and is keen to ship him out of the club.

if he is on more than 1 grand a week there is no chance!!! :laugh:

Be happy with earnshaw but he'll need the service.

If Fleck deal becomes a done deal then that'll work well.

How do you justify splashing out wages like that?

Where did the survey say we would finish and that was without signings - mid table wasn't it?

What the survey that was compeleted by villa fans in dusguise

Yep

That said, most fans – 49 per cent – expect the Sky Blues to finish in mid table while 25.5 per cent expect the club to make the play-offs and only 6.5 per cent predict automatic promotion this season.

and about 500 of then said we need to sign 4-7 players
190 said 7 or more
about 30 said 3

and Astute is talking about winning the league on the back of signing these two, I love his optimism but come on. As I say these two may give us a chance of staying up another 5 signings and I would be dissapointed if we did not make the play offs.

Another city player to Cardiff, have we just become a feeder club for the other ccfc?

I won't believe anything though till they actually sign, put on a city shirt, under-perform and get boo'd by our fans.

Cardiff can justify this since having owners that can afford to pay that kind of wage......£100m to splash out on their players.

All in the form of a loan with a lot of strings attached. Bollocks to FFP...

I'd wager some cash on the fact that come tomorrow we will have signed neither.

Salomon Kalou doesn't have a team yet...

Now that WOULD make me contemplate a new season ticket.

And still they get away without paying back Hamman ,how did Ridsdale get that one through the courts ,again worrying for me ,its the third player to go that way after RR lent them that £3.5m.,CCFC have up and coming player in poor team contracts winding down or out ,shift to promotion challenging team =Instant increase in value.I don't know maybe i'm just too cynical??

They've been handing out stupid wages and fees for as long as Ridsdale's been there at least; which is fine for them when it gets them in the top 6 every year, but when someone asks for their money back, suddenly it's not so good. Definitely up there as one of my most disliked clubs.

Thanks OSB my home page has gone awry and have to get out of SBT to google stuff,I obviously could be totally off about this but if a third player goes in that direction i can't help thinking/wondering .It might also add another aspect to the oft stated reason for resignation,Ie;the new board had come in at least three months earlier and he was initially to stay in an advisory role ,then the investigation and whoosh.

Am I missing summat about the Fleck signing ? People seem to be very negative but at the level we are surely he would be a major coup for the club, fairly young, had Prem teams sniffing round him a couple of years back, surely it's like getting a 2mill rated player on a free ? How is that not good business ?

To be honest (as much as I can't see it) I'd be ecstatic if we signed him

Yes good signing, if it actually happens, I think that is why people are negative.

Personally I for one would be delighted if this comes off but it just doesn't add up to me... wages being slashed all over, players being released and contracts trying to be re-negotiated ... doesn't sound like a spending club to me ... can't see how we can fund players of this quality in our position

Well, none of the stated players have signed for anyone else yet so I'm happy!!

I've often wondered about the "special" relationship we have with the other CCFC. Especially during the last close season when Parkin decided not to come to us yet the fee for Ben Turner stayed the same!

Maybe we signed bounce contracts, if Cardiff go under they come back to us ?

Completely agree, I didn't even read the thread until it was over 8 pages as I assumed it was just BS. Would be an AMAZING signing, and probably our best player. After Gael.

Apparently someone mis-read the club statement - it should have said "We will sign Fleck All today."
