Doesn’t surprise me at all. Pure click bait and I stop even looking at the site 3 years ago unless something is highlighted on here.

Doesn’t mention wasps indemnity request
Doesn’t mention wasps could lose the stadium if council found wrong doing
Doesn’t mention MR and TF both saying CCFC need their own stadium this week.

I can’t imagine too many people read it anyway

Fucking hell he really does live in cloud cuckoo land doesn't he... It was done so well that presenters on the local radio station had to be informed about it by someone from a fans forum

I know times are hard but it seems neither the Telegraph or BBC can cover the cost of their journalists actually phoning someone up.

Think we all know if Wasps aren't making any comment then its highly unlikely their unreasonable demands have changed.

Whats stopping the

"WASPS REFUSE TO TALK TO THE TELEGRAPH" headline that would happen if it was the club or SISU?

It isn't really proactive if they have to be prompted by the public to report facts.

Second hand information but apparently work is or has been done on the Ricoh pitch by a firm called Lakeland or Lakeview, who specialise in grounds maintenance.

Lakeside- they are grounds maintenance. Do a lot of local stuff and have done Wasps stuff for a while.
They do the grounds where I work.
They will be prepping pitch for training (think Wasps use Broadstreet a couple of days and Ricoh on others after their initial Broadstreet agreement ended (as they were supposed to be in a new training ground somewhere at some point!!))
No positive Ricoh news here im afraid...just usual procedures...

And Lakeland supply kitchen utensils. Wouldn’t fancy a slide tackle on a pitch covered in potato peelers.

Perhaps the Telegraph wages are spent on employing someone to process the payments for their advertising.

Wonder what happened to Greenfields? Seem to recall Wasps making a big deal that they were getting them in, as the people who originally installed the pitch, to do the maintenance. Have they changed to a cheaper option now?

Wasn't it them who said the pitch would be fine if maintained properly?

Lakeside certainly do stuff for Wasps.
Can't remember what was said about Greenfields!
Could they both do maintenance??

Time for Coventry City and Wasps to secure Ricoh return

Another day, another piece about the stadium, another article that doesn't mention the indemnity clause

The last paragraph of the article actually makes my blood boil

Totally agree with you - The article tells me that the senior management at both Wasps and CCFC get on really well. However, Haven’t heard any correspondence of the man that counts in all of this in the wasps corner Derrick Richardson. In my sales career I was taught to concentrate on the decision maker, as the other part of any team yes important. but the decision maker in this case Derrick Richardson is the only one that will sort this out on the wasps side. If Mr Richardson had congratulated CCFC, then I would have sat up and my views might be slightly different and my hopes may have been raised. but as we stand, like you said another day another piece about the stadium

As others have said in this thread and on twitter directly to Andy turner the thing that is most annoying is that if this was sisu hiding behind the NDA the telegraph would (quite rightly) be all over it doing article after article about how they should be more transparent but as it's wasps they don't want to upset the apple cart with them and so won't do any more digging

We need to be back in Coventry and the fact that the local media don't want to do anything worthwhile is an absolute farce and scandal of the highest order and they must continue to be called out about it

Would they have run a story if Tim Fisher was found have been spending thousands in a brothel?

It's funny because journalists at the Telegraph seem to strangely "have no idea" about it.

That's the thing.

It's not balanced news, it's a PR agency.
