Wayne Rooney doesn't score much got Man U but starts almost every match. That is because he is a team player. Obviously Elliot isn't that good but he works for the team puts pressure on people and creates chances and has been very unlucky this season so far.

Rooney has scored 17 goals in 29 (in all competitions) whereas Elliott has scored 4 in 22. You do the maths.

Rooney also has 7 assists in the league, Elliott has 1.

Bizzarely the beauty of Robins going gives us several options to freshen things up from the vast pool of players we have within the squad ,whereas we were looking at a couple more loans .I think its a fair critique that he underutilised the squad available and one or two were a little too secure in their place.
