Mine would be:

Murph
Christie Cameron Wood Adams (if fit)
Baker Moussa Jennings Bailey Sheff
Clarke

Subs: Dunn Clarke Thomas Fleck Elliott

I've weighed up the options, I don't think Elliott is worth Moussa, and Clarke has scored yet again.

Thought you were going to go 4-4-2 then SB_T!

I think the team same as today.. why would he change it? I don't think Adams will be fit as according to press reports he's out for 5 weeks isn't he? Mind you I read that Robins has Sky Blue blood and that Huddersfield's interest was mere 'speculation' in the same press... so guess he might have a chance of starting..?

I have been in the dark Thursday, Friday and Saturday in terms of CCFC stuff I've had work and school work to do. If he's out for 5 weeks I have NO problem playing Dickinson at all.

I pose a question for you though, is Elliott worth keeping Moussa on the bench? That's what it boils down to for me. If Elliott was worth it, I'd grit my teeth and accept 4-4-2, despite having my opinions on football and ow it should be played tactically and fortmations and so on. I don't have a say in anything the manager so it doesn't really matter what I think and as a fan, I don't really care what formations we play and how we play, as long as we get results, was I complaining under AB before Xmas? No.

My point was, I don't care what formation me play, nor the tactics we deploy, in this case, AB played hoofball in a 4-4-2, if it yields results, so, I'm saying I weren't having a go at Boothroyd for playing 4-4-2 and hoofball tactics because we were 5th in the table and doing well, however, when we do badly, his tactics come under close scrutiny.

i personally think it is worth keeping him on the bench. i dont think elliott has ever let anyone one down when he has played. he works tirelessly for his team mates and creates openings for himself and others. we play without fear away from home and but for a little more luck we should have been leading going into this game, so yes i would play him and leon up top.

Ok, if you think it's worth it, then your point is justifiable to an extent.

Just to remind everyone, last time he scored was v Oldham (good performance) meaning he hasn't scored in 4 games, after staring 3.

your stats are a little misleading. not in the squad v preston, got an assist v sheff utd. created and had chances v crewe (granted he didnt convert). came off the bench against yeovil and hit the bar. then today

He's a striker, he's there to score goals, not assists, that is why I'd have Moussa.

He started 3 games, scored 0, came off bench, didn't score, had just under a half. Whilst you say this, Clarke would be much more criticised, consistency?

1 assist in 4 appearances isn't really acceptable is it? (Not to include the others in cups and the beginning of the season)

Surely contributions to the game/team is of equal importance... your argument is like saying Goalies who concede shouldn't play as they haven't done their job?

Moussa has been below par lately imo, it's hard of him on some of these pitches to dribble effectively

compared to moussa who has got how many goals or assists in the same amount of games? not having a go at moussa there by the way. out of the last 6 games we have won 3, elliott played in these. drew 1 where he didnt play at all and lost two. he played in these two games and we created loads of chances but we, as a team werent clinical enough. when he plays we create. we need to score goals on wednesday so i would play him

Last few games he's been misused IMO, not a 4-4-2 CM.

Today, Moussa was probably better than Elliott tbh.

fair enough. i didnt go today so cant really comment. on wednesday its gonna need to be kitchen sink style. no messing about just take it to em and see what happens. the more strikers on the pitch the merrier for me

Conversely, 5 midfielders is better for defence and platform to dominate and we have goal potential in our midfield.

I'd rather bring Elliott on if we need the goals, think about it, who would we bring on if both start?

Keep Cameron in is he able to play twice in a week after not playing in so long? We need to score 3 so I would go a all out.

--------------------murphy------------
Christie---Cameron-wood---dick
-------------------bailey----------
------------baker--------fleck
------Elliot--------Clarke-------sheffers

Baker and fleck(he is more attacking than Jenno and has a good shot) as CAM then Elliot Clarke and sheffers as ST with bailey covering defence.

who we going to bring on!!! we are three down. this one aint down to finer tactics. lets play the best team that can get us goals right from the start. we need to be at least 1 up at the break to be in with a chance

You need to think about this. Start with 1 upfront, we get desperate we bring Elliott on.

Can remember what formation we played Crewe at the RICOH with? I do also remember us playing 4-4-2 in the 2nd half away to Crewe as well.

To say we need goals, yet start Elliott is somewhat of a contradiction, poor goals:game ratio and hasn't scored in the last 4...

no you need to think about it. we are desperate so we need to play elliott. yes we did play 442 in the first leg and what happened? i will answer that for you. we created more chances in one game than i have seen for some years. there keeper had the game of his life and we let goals in due to poor defensive play, nothing whatsoever to do with formation

We are 3-0 down.

What's this obsession with Elliott!? His industrial output has been unsatisfactory this season, why do people want him to start so much?

Wayne Rooney doesn't score much got Man U but starts almost every match. That is because he is a team player. Obviously Elliot isn't that good but he works for the team puts pressure on people and creates chances and has been very unlucky this season so far.

I'd go for a

3-1-6 formation to be honest.
