I wouldn’t say fantasy, as much as I love Eccles. I think we’ll go 3412 with Godden, just having a play around with the available players.

I just wonder if that isn’t the way to phase out Fadz, rather than finding a like for like. With a better back line we shouldn’t need three as much. But I think you’re right at least at first Robins will stick with how we’ve played since the promotion season.

When it comes to phasing Fadz out (or resting him) it will almost certainly be Lati, Thomas and Binks (from R to L) assuming all 3 are fit. That’s what they’ve been bought/ loaned for. Obviously any further CB additions might affect that.

So we know he's not signing. We know that he is valued upward of ~£8m. And we know that if he suffers an injury, that is likely to mean clubs won't be in the market for him until around January when he can sign a pre-contract.While he's a Coventry player, he plays.

I would be of the opinion that we protect our asset for the 1-2 games by not playing him if it is the difference of cashing in on him or not.

Pretty sure we played 4-5-1 away at Burnley last season. We were down to the bare bones somewhat.
Started with a back four of Bidwell - Doyle - Rose - Dabo
