Team for next Season (4 Viewers)

I know it might be a bit early but wanted to know what people thought about what our team needs to look like next season regarding keeping existing players and buying/loaning in new ones.

My Team would be thus (going with a standard 4-4-2)

GK Murphy with Dunn as backup
RB Clarke with either Keogh, Christie or Craine as backup (not saying they arent playing elsewhere)
LB Need a solid 1st team left back with Hussey as backup (might be able to play as 1st choice if get relegated but dont think he is championship quality yet
CB Crainie and Keogh with McPake, Wood and Cameron as backup
CM Deegan and Clingan with Thomas, Baker, Bigi and Bell as backup
RW Christie (a strange one maybe but from what i have seen, his strength is going forward and he does have some pace, skill and a good cross so why not) Need a pacey backup though as dont think anyone else in the team is any good on the right. Nimely would be good if we could get him.........
LW Again no one is any good in the current team so would have to go out and get someone who is pacey and can cross. I would consider having Hussey as backup as again he enjoys going forward but not as strong as Christie. Also need another backup who could play on either wing as we all know the injuries we will get.
ST McSheffrey and Platt although if we were still in the Championship i think we would need to invest in an all round goal scorer and then have Mcdonald as backup with another new player in.

I think the above team would do very well in league 1 and would hold their own in the championship with a few key improvements (i have tried to be realistic in my expectations of what we can get in)

I thought Thorn should have bought Christie on for Baker on Saturday. Connor Thomas looked like he was struggling on the right and as you say, Christie is pacey and has a decent touch. I think if he continues to progress next season like he has done this year, he'll either be an important player for us or moving to a better team.

Although i disagree with the SISU tactic of always selling our best player especially when it seems we need them the most, to be fair to them they have never sold half of our team in one window. I think the only one who might go is Keogh as he is our most consistent player. All the others show glimpses of what they can do but this season they havent done it nearly enough to warrant loads of attention

Hreidarsson will probably retire at the end of this season, McDonald was playing league 2 football last year, so can't imagine he would be in a hurry to leave a league 1 side. Murphy left Scunthorpe so might leave us. Keogh definitely go. Craine might stay. Clingan will probably leave. I can see wood and mcpake staying. Be surprised if we sold Christie and Bigirimana so soon into there careers. Deegan may leave for a Championship side, Baker is likely to stay

Nowhere near enough goals in that team.

yep selling them so early in their career would be stupid. So like they tried to do with Thomas it will happen. SISU will get rid of the rest
