Wish you could've met my exI have tattoo's although none football related. But as recent posters have opined - I too would go with the 'old' club crest of the elephant on ball. Not necessarily just a flat black silhouette but without the clutter of the city's coat of arms it would, I think stand out as a classy statement.
And yes, I do subscribe to the notion of 'less is more'.

Struggling to work out which bit of your body that is. Does it expand and contract according to the match score?Following on from the 2023 thread, I had this one done in Leamington last year, £80 all in.
Going back many years I had an arm band done by a Hells Angel in Benidorm..he was from Belgium and told me all the Tattoo shops were controlled by Hells Angels or taxed to stay in business.Great opportunity to get yourself over to Benidorm for a few days. Roll out of Cafe Benidorm (for the older clientele!) at 4am and take advantage of multitude of first class holiday tattoo inkers. God knows what it would be like but hey, you’re 69 and shouldn’t give a shit.

I want someone who can do a good Club crest, and assume some on here will have ideas on who to go to, so any recommendations would be great.
