Unbelievable.

James Maddison apparently moved to Leicester after starting his career at Norwich.

Fuck off.

Not unbelievable at all to be honest.
Talksport is awful and if you have the misfortune to listen to it for any length of time you'll hear fuck ups like that on a regular basis.

Reminds me of the geographical bias on Midlands Today, during the 90’s. I’m not sure why they disliked Coventry so much, and in all honesty here, there were several reports of incidents occurring ‘just outside Birmingham’ when in fact they actually occurred within Coventry.

Even the sports coverage was so, so biased towards the Villa. And Nick Owen with his grinning sarcasm towards us was infuriating.

I’m still not over it, bear with me. 🤣

Was listening to bits of the R5 football coverage on Sunday with Dublin commentating .. they managed to mention between them his previous clubs Manchester, Villa and even got Cambridge in. Then they went on to mention his golden boot in the premier league without again calling out that he did it whilst at Coventry

I seem to remember Gary Newbon was a Derby fan and the coverage backed that up.

That happens regularly whenever he's asked the question on TV or radio about previous clubs they never ask about his time at Coventry City and Dublin never corrects them and whenever Dublin is asked to attend legends Day he is always busy. 😲

Maybe we should wait until Millwall aren’t looking and steal their club anthem.

Think he’d get a mixed reception off the fans. If I remember correctly didn’t he ask for a transfer and refused to play at Luton

Not what he said at an “evening with” event I went to.
Said He was told by Richardson “We’re selling you to Blackburn off you go.” When Dublin said “I’ve just signed a new contract and my family’s settled I don’t want to go” he was told tough shit you’re going, It was then his agent let Villa know about his release clause so he could stay local.

We did, quite vociferously, sing about him breaking his neck which I imagine would probably have put him off the fans a tad.

We are of generally no interest to tv and radio however had we got the benefit of doubt in the FA semi we would have been back in the public theatre

I remember a few years ago he was doing punditry at the Ricoh and had to walk around from near the dugouts to walk up the back where the cameras are and he got warm applause.
same at Wembley I think at the playoff final.

i admit I did go along with it on the away days at villa park and sang the not very nice songs about him - and I massively regret it as he was one of my heroes when I was younger. You don’t think of that in the heat of the moment.

Gary Newbastard sat in front of us at the FA cup final in 87! We gave him some intolerable shit everytime we scored and waved him off as he left straight after.

I agree a shocker, I remember that return to Highfield road on Sky TV with Gregory as manager if I correct!?...But fans are very unforgiving and when he refused to play that last match he went on a sad note for a lot of people at the time.
I still think he's the best striker we have had - A golden boot, top 3 goalscorer another season after al in the Prem.. and a great defender too when asked to do the job by Strachan.

Pretty sure his son went to Warwick, remember encountering him in some rugby fixtures
