No, the opposite. Where did you get that from?So you think he's an elite tactician?

I remember some posted on here how good our coaching staff are.You maybe want to reread the post you were replying to
Because his limitations were exposed at Chelsea ( 2 nd time around ) and Everton. Maybe he can redeem himself but if he doesn't I can't see him being here next season. Under Robins we always seems to start slow and build momentum. This season we seem to be doing it the other way round.Lampard has access to more and better players than any other manager recently and yet we appear to be going backwards!!
what is going on with him if he can't utilise the wealth of riches we have, is he really one dimensional in tactics and approach? We have bought players in he's not using to good effect, so is his judgement off?
This is n't knocking him, just trying to understand what the fuck is happening to this team.
I did, I posted the opposite to what you think. You maybe want to reread the post you were replying to

You lost me.Sorry, you've lost me.
Good spot,I noticed that change yesterday too...I think he tried it yesterday with the Middlesbrough game firmly in mind.Aside from that, what the boffins call “rest defence” has been (until yesterday) relatively non-existent. Our style and structure has left us quite easy to counter-attack. We seemingly decided not to do anything about it because of our prowess in creating good chances and scoring. Somewhere along the line we became far less clinical and are being punished. If you even think back to the Blackburn/Watford home games they were able to get through our midfield with ease.
Couple of people that were all over this kind of shit a few games back that have completely dropped off the face of the forum. Lampard is learning, last 2 games absolutely perfect.
Don't overlook the contribution by Onyeka that has allowed us to do this though. Some player.

Thats why I still wouldPart of me thinks that rather timid display against Oxford was all about having the rest of the team adjusted to a slightly different style ready for Onyeka.
Think we're trying to maximise the minutes we can get at the starting XI going full pelt before gradually bringing on fresh legs. Which will mean that in the last 5 minutes or so before we make changes, some players are getting close to their limit.Onyeka is a big difference , again felt lampard was too late with the subs .. rushworth made a great save right before the subs .. weve set up well last 2 games so no complaints there

Cost us a goal on Monday but I don't mind it as a game plan.
I completely agreed with that assessment on Monday, definitely came a bit too late. Can see what the logic is behind it thoughI see it that we have a game midweek and felt like albion were having a spell , felt late and almost cost us again like against boro .
But i aint the manager and im merley giving an opinion , i just feel his subs are too late
There was definitely a lot more discipline there, I don't think it's to do with Onyeka as such just addressing a problem. We're looking a lot better defensively, barely 2xG against us in the three games since..Part of me thinks that rather timid display against Oxford was all about having the rest of the team adjusted to a slightly different style ready for Onyeka.
So he has learnt. Thanks Tom.Couple of people that were all over this kind of shit a few games back that have completely dropped off the face of the forum. Lampard is learning, last 2 games absolutely perfect.

Feeling called out?So he has learnt. Thanks Tom.
Well not really it’s a silly argument. He’s clearly changed things due to us havingonyeka available.Feeling called out?
So he has learnt. Thanks Tom.
Bristol City would be my left field shout for autos

But he’s got a point, we haven’t been as bad as some have made us out to be away, we were 1-0 up in most of the games we lost. Lampard realised what we were missing and went and got Onyeka, game changer, quick enough to jump on him so should give him the credit now he’s fixed it,We didn't win away for almost 3 months and put in some dreadful performances away.
I'm not sure this is the gotcha you think it is.

The longest run we've had without a win is three games, this "fall off" is an exaggeration and ignores the great form shown by Middlesbrough particularly and Ipswich in that period.he needs to maintain this level for a while again to regain the plaudits. Our fall off was just too long.
They were in good form at the time but it's not my best shout everI do really like this poster, but this is my favourite quote on this thread.
12th place trophy is in their hands though! It will be out of them or Preston for sure.
we got 15 points in 13 games. it was not exaggerated at allThe longest run we've had without a win is three games, this "fall off" is an exaggeration and ignores the great form shown by Middlesbrough particularly and Ipswich in that period.
Our record breaking form was never realistically going to continue indefinitely, a lot of people on here were saying in early December they'd be pleased to still be top by the turn of the year. We were, and we were still top by the end of January.
