Let's be honest, the 'elite tactician' nonsense was spouted by loud bell ends on here.

Elite tacticians don't operate in the championship, certainly not on their 4th or 5th manergerial job.

But he still done a pretty good job and may still get us up, but it's been a tough watch since December.

It's a similar scenario to what we often had under Robins.
A satisfactory points tally but given the way the points were gained it's caused a huge reaction among the support.

If either man had gained the points more steadily over the season rather than veering from relegation form to autos form or vice versa people woild have been far more content.

I've said for a long time F.L. and his coaching team have done a remarkable job getting this squad to the top of the league...and I'm still hopeful we can achieve promotion....we have never done anything the easy way in my 60+ years of supporting the club tbh.
If we do achieve promotion I dread to think of the meltdowns we will see on here pretty frequently.

Because in this way, to lose it like this, is the ultimate form of mental weakness unfortunately. It is a painful showing.

I think the worry is justified now
Definitely

But today wasn't "disastrous," nor was it "the end of our season."

We definitely should be worried . A week on Monday has to be treated like a cup final though.

Win that and the world we look a hell of a lot rosier. A draw and we still won't be any the wiser as to when we will turn the form around and a defeat....well, that could indeed leave us plummeting.

Definitely a worry, but it's far too OTT on here tonight.

What has changed because he did get it
I think the problem is more, nothings changed. We seemed to come out of preseason fitter and sharper than the rest of the league, we basically had the same team as last season so didn't have the "gelling" issue, and we took teams by surprised. Teams know how we play, how to nullify us and what our weaknesses are now, there is no longer a mismatch in fitness and sharpness (in fact if anything, the lack of rotation means we're now suffering from fatigue), and teams that made a few signings in the summer have now gelled with their teams.

We're still trying to play the same way.

Don't agree. It wasn't just the result, the performance was really poor foe a top of the table team.
I didn't think it was,Clint

We just weren't clinical enough.

I don't think the performance was poor. We had enough chances to win and had that Wright, clean through shot have gone in and we had won 1 nil, I think we would have pretty much been satisfied

The three chances that stood out for me were... Wright's near the end. It was criminal not to even hit the target

Then Torp's in the first half, where he seemed to want to just pass it into the net. That was a poor effort and again should have been on target.

And then Rudoni's, when he was weaving through into their 6 yard box. He had to take the shot much earlier there.

In many ways it was small margins today. But in saying that, we didn't test their keeper anywhere near enough.

I think he's good until it starts going wrong in games and then he doesn't know how to rectify that.
I think the losing of points from winning positions in away games is probably the fans biggest gripe, the answer to that I think is to rectify things before they go wrong, if we're a goal up we should change shape to be more defensive not go looking for a second goal, it's not enough for me to be wanting him sacked as he's responsible for us being where we are in the first place.

Wright 2 in 17 starts. Apparently he is brilliant

So we are " bell ends" because we can see what is in front of us. Bizarre.

We finished last season with Rudoni as the talisman and heartbeat of the side . This season ,for me , it has been BTA especially but also EMC who have been the outstanding players . I've said on another thread I think Rudoni isn't right , whether he needs surgery on his shoulder I don't know .
Also you can have too many options within the squad , when we were flying it was the same 12/13 players

BRING BACK BASSETTE

No but seriously today I thought we played decent but lacked a cutting edge in front of goal. Haji was wank with the chances he had.

I can't help but feel if we'd signed Bamford we'd be 5 points clear.

I know people will say that Simms should've come on earlier, and I do like Simms but he's too inconsistent to be relied on.

Yes but Simms was scoring goals while wright was out but despite scoring he was dropped for wright in what was a bizarre decision and we haven’t recovered since and a doubt it did anything for Simms confidence either.

Wright 2 goals in 18 starts,Simms 10 in 13. Do I think is ace? No. Frank loves Haji and cost us against against Sunderland! WTF are people watching? Pile on coming, bring it on.
