You accept poor play by the football team and poor management by Sisu. Defending the undefendable .

I'm a season ticket holder for many years, I pay for this garbage, which also gives me the right to say it as I see it.
If you don't like it take your dummy elsewhere.

Our budget is more than competitive for league 1, i assume that you think that TM should be sacked then?

I think you will find our budget is top half and as we know the crowds need to be higher (JS) so next year we can expect less.

We need Sisu (someone) to take a punt with TM and give him more money to all but guarantee to get out this league.
After all the gains are high if we get out.

They didn't boss the game. No cutting edge from either team. I thought they were slightly better first half and we were better second. The subs of Murphy and Maddison made a bit of a difference and I felt Murphy particularly worked hard

Murphy worked hard by his standards, which surprised a few people. However, his work rate was still under par compared to the rest of the team.

Multiple times he was stood on the centre circle whilst his team mates did the running around and he waited as if the number 101 was going to pull up alongside him.

The opposition passed around him like he was a fixed piñata. Going forward he wasted one of the best chances of the game by taking the ball off Henderson and dragging it wide rather than playing him in.

On the occasion when it mattered he chased all the way back to the box and his harrying their forward helped cause him to shoot wide. So I'm sorry I disagree I think he did work hard and made a difference.
Going forward he got past the fullback a couple of times and although he didn't make the telling cross it certainly created some threat. One of the balls across Madders decided to slow his run and was on the 18yrd line..but if he had steamed into the box he would probably got on the end of murphys ball in

I'm amazed how ignorant you are about football.

I'm genuinely embarrassed for you.

You have become blinded by your dislike for Murphy unfortunately and your mindset now is such that you have left yourself with absolutely nowhere else to go, having nailed your colours very firmly to the mast.

You now find it almost impossible to praise him for absolutely anything at all, hence the 'by his standards' quip.

I can only think of one thing he did wrong today and that was when he had the ball on the right on the edge of their penalty area and he should have put the ball over much earlier.

Besides that he was full of running, tracked back when required and looked dangerous.

I think you are now just looking for any excuse to defend your desperately entrenched position I'm afraid.

You mentioned to someone else that they should leave the forum and maintain their dignity. The sad thing is, you lost yours long ago.

Some of the comments you make are outrageous. It's one thing to be thick, but it's completely something else to not realise it.

When it mattered being the key phrase. The bare minimum is not enough.

He made a couple of good runs, that's right, but nothing came of it. That cross you mention could have had all 10 other players including RCC running in on it, but it was still going down the goalkeepers throat.

He did work harder no dobut, but he was still stood around a lot.

I thought it was around 6th and surely higher than the likes of Burton.

How would taking a punt all but guarantee that we get out of the league? If it fails, then what? Put in more money and hope for the best again?

In fairness Otis, the last two comments you've made about my opinion of Murphy were when I made my team selection posts and didn't include him in my team. I didn't even make any real comments about him, but you were trying to pick something out to find a problem when there wasn't really one there.

You're correct in the sense that I don't like Murphy. When he's on the pitch 90% of the time it is like we have 10 men. He's a passenger, greedy, and for the life of me is insanely bad at making decisions. The thing that infuriates me though, is how lazy he is as a professional footballer. How disrespectful he is to the fans for only putting in a fraction of the effort his team mates do.

Yes he tried harder today, no doubt about it, and I've given him credit for that, but tracking back when it matters and making a few good runs is the bare minimum, and the bare minimum does not get you promoted. If you had put a player cam on him today, you would have seen that he spent half his time stood still, how is that fair on the other players that did the full 90 and were running in circles while he just stood there? As I said, he worked harder, but still not to the same level as his colleagues. If you have an issue with that, then that's a difference of opinion, not just that I 'hate Murphy'.

The fact that fans are so blinded by just about the only 3 good games he's had all season that they can't pick anything wrong because of it is ironic, because if he can do what he can do against Gillingham and Crewe, then why the fuck can he not do it at all for any of the other 30 odd games he's played in?

Having said what I've said, I'm more than happy to be proved wrong. I want him to play well and fight for the shirt, I want the team to do well and get promoted, but sadly he's not giving me anything at all to go by.

Otis isn't thick.

I'd guess that as you logged in as Sick Boy instead of Grendal probably suggests you are though.

When you weren't selecting him in your sides I was having a sly dig in a humourous way.

I think we are all guilty of the same thing at times to be fair. Our positions get so entrenched with a player that we become really reluctant to dish out any praise at all.

I think most people would agree that Murphy tried hard today. He may well not have done in other games, but today I don't believe warrants any criticism against the lad.

I think maybe it is time for you to at least start looking at Murphy's performances with a more dispassionate eye.

Shit officials? Said earlier in the match thread the ref was doing OK but over the course of the game, all 3 officials made some very poor errors / calls

How could you possibly see clearly from Aylesford?
