Agreed but maybe Sisu thought we would sell more season tickets 10 players signed yeah but we don’t know the fees of those we paid for and most were free.without a striker this season top half finish for me outside play offs.

“Maybe”
“We don’t know”

Embarrassing conjecture.

Maybe robins body has been hijacked by aliens. We don’t know that Al Qaeda leaders aren’t Sunderland fans and are threatening him.

Do you know the fees paid then ? If we don’t bring anyone in chaplin sale looks to have been to cover moving ground with poor season ticket sales.Certain speeches timed at season ticket sales were sales pitches which their entitled to do I just didn’t buy it.

Let's wait and see who MR brings in. Personally, I have a feeling Joy is backing him.

Start of the transfer window: we will sign around 9 players.

Month of window left: 9 players signed and confirmed interest in at least two more.

You: it was all sales pitches.

Have a word. We’ve signed a top six keeper, a Championship CB, the kid ahead of sterling in the Chelsea set up at RB, Allen, Kastaneer and Jobello who have all looked good in pre-season. The two we are rumoured to be after scored 22 in L2 and were our best player last year.

The trouble with both strikers scoring is that it may lessen the urgency to shell out on a striker. Another 0-0 today and we might’ve got authorisation to up the bid

Apparently both strikers scoring is bad news for our goal scoring capabilities this season. I've heard it all now.

If the team had the same defeatist attitude as some of our fans we would probably be playing non-league football this season.

Biamou and Kastaneer top goal scorers in pre-season.

Jobello and Kasta around Biamou would be interesting.

I agree with your sentiment, , however I would say that having been caught out by the unexpected departure of a striker last year we perhaps should have had a bit more contingency in place against a repeat this year.

Personally im not over concerned at the moment but I can understand peoples frustration/concern.

Would people still agree that perhaps a striker on loan is necessary?

Not really. You saw the comments and panic from people on here and social media about needing a striker and worrying about where goals will come from. That will be lessened now after these two goals but it’s paper over cracks in my opinion.

For instance, do you think people would even be asking this question if it was another blank today.

Obviously happy they scored but I just hope it doesn’t effect mindset about needing to sign a striker

I’m sure MR will be thrilled that max and Baka on scoresheet today but equally I’m certain he will still be keen to bring in a striker and creative player.

I think having Biamou back gives us a different option. Strong player who can bring our new wingers into play. What is missing is a real poacher which you want in and around the box to finish off our attacking plays. Hiwula will get goals again but not convinced he will ever be. 20 goal a season player.

His link up play will be a big plus with the 2 wingers & Allen bombing on
