England’s Number 6!First half EMC was superb.
Grimes MoM. Onyeka, Simms, Dasilva very good.
Rushworth had been shaky in the first half, but what a save that was at the end.
Grimes and onyeka bossed it
Simms did very well
Emc had that 20 minute spell where they couldn't touch him
Everybody just steady really, could have conceded 3 but we didn't.
Yeah would agree with that. Shame Simms didn’t get a goal-his chance was easier than he made it look-a confident player hits the onion bag.Rushworth 7

Maybe that was harsh. Just noticed him give the ball away twice, leading to a break away. The one led to the Vipotnik golden chance.Bidwell 5? Thought he had a decent enough cameo.
I thought he looked very leggy alsoBidwell had a poor 15 minutes
His legs have gone
Will get a two year contract for a league one team next year
Shame as a good guy but all good things come to an end.
He's never been good when coming on as sub for 10-15 mins, even in his early prime with us. He did make one brilliant block. He gave the ball away a couple of times but then he was playing with Markelo ahead of him who he's probably never played with as a LB/LW combination, they didnt look on the same wavelength.
This is mental. I thought Simms was fantastic. Gave their CBs hell, chased everything. Performance that deserved a goal.Simms 6.5, needs to sort out positioning and getting in front of his man for a change. I thought Markelo looked bright, especially with that first time cross. Grimes and The Tank just immense in midfield, EMC lively, Tats even when quiet continues to work hard. Woodwork a 10, outstanding defending.
Well that saves me saying pretty much exactly the same.Grimes and onyeka bossed it

Completely agree… that first time touch he did in the 2nd half was class. This is mental. I thought Simms was fantastic. Gave their CBs hell, chased everything. Performance that deserved a goal.
Hes got another year on his contract here.A nice touch from Frank , to give yet another Swansea old boy 15 minutes.
It seemed like he was rusty , but just great for him to get on , as his Skyblue career is coming to an end .
Thanks Bidders![]()
Why mental? I was pointing out his continuous poor positioning in front of goal, I never mentioned he did not work hard or did not deserve a goal. FFS Tats should get a 10 every week if that’s your only criteria. Look back at games when some excellent crosses come in and where he is, does not come across his defender. Poor basic forward playing! This is mental. I thought Simms was fantastic. Gave their CBs hell, chased everything. Performance that deserved a goal.

sy pass to Markelo who would have been one-on-o
Simms was excellent against Preston too. He's really impressed me this season, with his work rate. Starting to look like that big No 9 striker we have all wanted. He's been great coming into games off the bench too. His 2 big chances today, got them both on target, should of scored, but on anther day Keeper doesn't save one of those. + Against Southampton, that Haji header at 0-1. Simms would have scored that.Completely agree… that first time touch he did in the 2nd half was class.

Simms did well and has more than done his bit when required this season. However, although he wins his fair share of headers elsewhere on the pitch he has never really imposed himself in the air in the opposition box throughout his time with us. He doesn't tend to move to get onto headers, but rather jumps from a static position.
Haji is much more proactive in finding space to attack the ball in the air. He might have missed the chance against Southampton and others like them, and doesn't always provide the aerial threat it feels like he should, but I'm not convinced that Simms would have got into a similar position to have the Southampton chance in the first place.
