Shame about Palmer and having to have 4 forwards on the bench. Assume Saka won’t last 90 mins. Shows we really do need a few players in to add depth still.
Why won’t Saka last 90 mins?

Looking forward to seeing Sakamoto and Wright from the start.

I fancy us to win this.
Their team looks decent though to be fair

Encouraging that Tats and Wright start, we need that creative energy, was honestly dreading Kelly potentially starting.

Hasn’t played a huge amount yet. Hopefully he does though.
But he’s played in every pre-season game and featured in every game this season . He should easily be up to speed

Will Van Ewick last 90?...seems we are short at RWB too. Especially as Saka playing behind front 2 it seems.

He wasn’t poor at all. He contributed to us finishing 5th especially when O’Hare got injured. Could he contribute more? Absolutely but calling him poor is a terrible take

Its in relation to the fact he’s a big earner

Palmer being unavailable could do us a favour today, Sakamoto has the ability to run at pace and carry the ball, which Palmer lacks, and that could be a bonus away from home where we may be pushed back for long periods, his quick trickery could also win us free kicks around the box.

Apparently, both MVE and DaSilva are wearing 27. Could cause officiating issues, perhaps.

I fancy us today, a 0-1 perhaps, to break the Swansea hoodoo and give us a bit of steam. ⚽️

He started fewer than half our league games and scored three times, two of those being consolation goals in defeats.

Happy with that team sheet. MR maybe taking a bit more risk, really hope it pays off. Big chance for Saka in particular.
We do seem to have a lot of injuries and our players aren't the fittest, that needs looking at.

He wasn’t poor though. He still performed well in some games but you’ll never change your mind as you had it in for him from the second he signed. Clueless

So were Kane, Walker and Waghorn, he contributed much more than them. He’s a scapegoat when there’s no need. He will never win over some people

And conversely others see no faults and use terms like world class

Preseason isn’t the same as competitive matches though is it. Hopefully you’re right though, a player has to do 90 mins for the first time at some point.

That’s a fair comment. I just think he’s a good player that has that ability to make things happen but he needs to do it more often. Some right over the top reactions at both ends of the spectrum, I agree

Didn’t he play the full 90 at Wimbledon?
