Clearly wanted to play this front-foot aggressive pressing style we’re seeing this season, but not so dogmatic to realise we weren’t physically capable of it (unlike that bloke plying his trade north of the border).
Always had Lampard pegged as someone with an open, expansive style and feared that if we made it to the PL we’d get taken to pieces. Now I’m reasonably confident he could adapt us to make a fist of staying up (again, IF we get there).
